Deconstructing Yesterday – new site for Beatles fans | Fab Forum | The Beatles Bible

Hi all,

I just joined the forum today. Long-time reader of The Beatles Bible, so thanks to whoever started the site.

Wanted to let you all know that I started a brand new website called Deconstructing Yesterday that was sparked by seeing the trailer for the new film Yesterday.

I must say I got really excited to see this movie, not only because I love the Beatles’ music but also because it is gratifying to see others confirm what I’ve known for a long time, that the Beatles are the greatest band ever.

I don’t intend my site to copy The Beatles Bible in the sense of being a comprehensive resource. I only intend it to be a place where Beatles nerds like myself can obsess over the music and the movie.

I realize the film hasn’t come out yet, and it may end up being a dud. (Although I doubt it, as Danny Boyle is directing.) So it’s possible that once it’s released there may not be much discussion about it going forward.

But I see the movie as a great opportunity to introduce people to the greatness of the Beatles, so that’s why I’m using it as a “hook”. If the website ends up being a place where people only talk about the music and forget about the movie, that’s fine.

I literally put up the site today which is why there’s so little content. But I’ll be adding more as time goes on. And hopefully visitors will join the conversation too.
