There’s a new website called TrackSlayer – a musician’s tool with a 12-track virtual mixing board. They’re opening a private BETA group to test out the site and software. It allows you to isolate every instrument and vocal so you can play or sing along – or hear any part – all on the web with no software installation. It features 24 of the greatest Beatles tunes, re-recorded for multi-track. Looks like there are limited BETA seats available – Sign up here: http://www.trackslayer.com

I think it’s more the fact you didn’t put this under Pimp Your Stuff as per the rules that he’s objecting to.

I assume you’re the guy who’s been posting very similar messages about this on Reddit too. Please don’t just use this site to copy+paste info on your product.
These are only soundalike re-creations, right? I’d rather download the Rock Band files and use the actual recordings. Do beta testers get free access once you launch?

I Want To Tell You – I have heard the Rock Band files, and they are pretty cool. There’s definitely something special about hearing the original recordings. However, in most of the songs the guitars are grouped together, as are the vocals. TrackSlayer gives its users the ability to hear each individual part. You will be able to hear every nuance to each guitar riff and hear exactly which notes are sung in the middle harmonies. Because the songs were redone in a modern studio, the audio quality is at a higher level as well (while preserving the Beatles’ effects and recording techniques, of course). The creator, Larry Hochman, talks about it in greater detail on his blog here: http://larryhochmanmusic.wordp…..m-project/
Again, at this point we’re simply looking for musicians and Beatle fans who want to try it out for free. Beta testers will be given some amount of free access once we launch! The details are still TBD.
Thanks! Good day, sunshine(s)

To clarify – these are not the beatles actual recordings right? I get this from here
“Because a complete breakdown of these recording does not exist, I’ve attempted to do the next best thing –make new recordings of my favorite songs, with complete instrumental and vocal separation.”
Im sorry but why do I want this, to listen to isolated tracks of covers of Beatles recordings?

The idea is that the parts were recorded with such meticulous attention to detail that you may not even be able to tell the difference. Users are encouraged to do more than simply listen to the isolated tracks.. They can engage with the virtual band by learning a part and playing or singing along with the rest.
I think it’s probably quite good fun, but I don’t have a lot of time to do recording or remixing nowadays. Good luck with the project though.
