I liked Paul’s hair when it was gray, but he also had it short, then. I doubt it would look good with the shaggy do he seems to have settled on. And, it’s his hair, so if he wants to dye it, that’s his prerogative. I’m not saying I don’t agree with your opinion; I kind of wish he’d give up on the dye too, sometimes. But then, I also sort of like this look on him, somehow. It’s a love-hate thing, I guess.
Either way, I think it’s a fair assessment that Pete looks a lot older than he is. If someone were to say the age difference is 10 years instead of 7 months, I’d believe them too, based on those photos. Then again, he looked older than the others when they were in their late teens/early twenties too, so I suppose it’s to be expected. He doesn’t look bad…. Paul just looks better. Definitely in better shape, anyway.

Offline I don’t know anymore if Paul is the cuter old person. Pete looks like a super cute and friendly grandpa, and Paul looks like he’s in denial about being old. I like when people take pride in their age. Plus, with that haircut (and color), Paul kind of looks like an old lady.

I guess if Paul really was an old lady, everyone would say “she” looks like a man. Can’t win! I don’t think he looks like an old lady, just a bit silly with his dyed hair. Pete was handsome in an conventional sort of way, and both George and Stuart Sutcliffe were very photogenic, making them look more good looking than they really were, I think. Paul was very good looking when younger – and remarked upon by many people who met him.

Offline I notice Pete had (and has) quite a schnozz on him; this, and the fact that he was slated to be drummer for the Beatles, would make a Pete/Ringo contest more logical than a Pete/Paul one. And my vote would be, of course, for Ringo, who wins — by a nose.
The more logical contest with Paul would be Stu Sutcliffe who, though he tragically died of a brain aneurysm at age 22, was from photos I’ve seen of him, with a kind of bad boy Jimmy Dean/young Marlon Brando vibe going on, a strong contender against Paul in the old Looks Dept. (Also, Stu was slated to be bass player for the band)

Stu was definitely a good-looking lad. I’ve never thought Pete was much of a looker, he’s all right but Paul wins the debate easily.

Offline At first I’m confused about why these two are being compared…They don’t seem to have similar appearances.
I think Pete and Paul are popular for different reasons. Pete looks quite masculine, while Paul is more of a “pretty” guy. But even I, who usually prefer the masculine ones, can’t really appreciate Pete’s look. I’m always amazed about what a pretty face Paul has
(And it doesn’t last only a year or two!)
