Never. I would go to a concert just to see Pete Townshend take a dump on my face.

Personally, I have no issue with it. Who better to keep John's songs alive than a fellow Beatle?
And (although I hate to bring them into this) do you think the Jonas Brothers could do a better job?
It's all in the name of keeping the memory and the music alive.
Let's all be happy that we still have a Beatle gracing the stage!

I have no problem with Paul singing anyone's songs. For that matter, I have no problem with Ringo singing any songs written by John.
Actually, it would be kind of funny hearing Paul sing How do You Sleep? in concert.
Ha! That would be great! Somewhere I read that Paul's response to “How Do You Sleep?” was “On a big pile of money,” but that's probably just folklore….

Brilliant!
I don't know if it's true either but it does sound like something he would say. It fits right in with the Beatles' cheeky sense of humor.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I take no particular offense to Paul singing “Give Peace A Chance “, just think it’s quite curious and questionable aesthetically – “GPIC” isn’t really a very good song at all! (As John would be the first to admit, no doubt.) Why not do his own “Pipes Of Peace ” instead?
Another dead thread but here I go… I agree with you, @Von Bontee: very true. And Pipes Of Peace is a masterpiece.
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

I don’t like when he sings Lennon’s songs like ‘Day In The Life’, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever ‘ and ‘Please Please Me ‘
I miss Lennon’s vocals in the songs. I really don’t like that McCartney tried to change the songs he felt were more his from ‘Lennon & McCartney’ to McCartney & Lennon. That really pissed me off!!

He does it as a tribute, he’s not singing them because he wants all the credit for writing songs that John mostly wrote.
And I will never understand why people seem to care so much about Paul wanting to switch Lennon-McCartney to McCartney- Lennon for songs that were written by Paul. He wasn’t taking John’s name off of it, and it makes him happy why should anybody else care? It’s not hurting you, and if John was alive, it wouldn’t be hurting him, either.

Oooooh @Inner Light said the “A” word. Will Mr. Big and PaulsBass rejoin the forum to resume the vitriol which necessarily results from the use of such inflammatory language?

Ahhh GirlI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.
