…Nothing happened (I’m calling it August 20th).
However, let this thread exist so we can call attention to the things, both big and small, which occurred on whatever given day it is.
In a few days we’re hitting the 43rd (!) anniversary of the very last appearance of the Beatles together, so let’s give that the respect it deserves.

Jason Starkey was born on the 19th August 45 years ago.
I don’t think anything important happened on the 21st of August but I think Patti and George returned form Greece around this day in 1968.
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

Their love for Brian Epstein was inspiring. One wonders how the last two years of the Beatles would have turned out with Brian still alive…

After re-watching the Anthology did I gain a true appreciation for how much Paul did to keep the band together. I don’t think he quite gets the credit he deserves.
If you watch the bootlegged original “director’s cut” of the Anthology, there are definite moments when you feel like it should have been called “Paul McCartney & the 3 Piles of Dead Weight”.
I say that with great love for the band. But when John said “The Walrus was Paul”, he was referring to Paul’s nonstop drive and enthusiasm to keep the band going.
