Hey all, names Karl,my first time posting. There sure are a lot of topics and subtopics. So iIdidn't know where to ask this question. I did read something that Joe took down the image posting part of the site, but can pics still be linked to one's photobucket account, when needing to post pics pertaining to questions that need to be asked. Thanks

Hey Karl. I'm not sure I understand the question. Here is the thread you're talking about. It goes into the hows and whys of posting images on BBF. I hope this helps.

I suppose I could try this and see if this is OK. The back of my Korean ' white' album. This is what I am currently familiar with, but learning every day! LOL

Ok, got that figured out, but I couldn't see where you can type a message also while posting a pic.
That is a pic of the front cover. I have a few more, but the one I really need to post will probably have to be done with a link like when I tried first. It has a pic of John & Yoko standing nude with the newspaper in front of them, perhaps from there Two Virgin album? I have an article save from the web, that shows that pic I mentioned along with one that shows full frontal.
So is there a way to mention that the link is, um, inappropiate for some viewers. See I can not find one ounce of imformation on this certain album that I have on the web, and it appears that this forum might be the best one to find some history behind it.
It is made on a Korean label, that I aquired from my oldest brother, who was stationed in Korea at the time, and he was able to get me albums for a dollar a piece, or two in this case, from the PX. I would send him the money and he would ship them back to me in the states I was 16 at the time. I have an Abbey Road album that the Korean producers, ad libed some stuff to the front of that cover also. The back they did not touch.
to be continued………………

We're ok with that album. In fact, it was discussed a bit earlier – Two Virgins album cover…YIKES! There is no spoiler option that I'm aware of, but I think it would be useful. How about it Joe?
I can't help with the Korean cover, but if you have the cash, this book might be of use to you: The Beatles Covered. At € 139.25, it's a bit out of my price range.
Edit: Ok, I read your post on the album article. My guess is that it's a bootleg. I could see the cover being changed for the Korean market, but I'm not sure why they'd use the TV cover if it was authentic.

Holy cow!….that's about $175.00 US…..bit out of my blood also.
Ok, here is a link to the inside cover/ right side above the 4 pictures. Two Virgins / Close up / inside left cover..see where the ' SR ' of USSR was blocked out at time of printing. Record company label on front cover. Side three label on record, look at the bands name. Not from heat...maybe a little more glue would ahve been nice? lol
So, how many here have ever seen this cover / album? Surprising though, it came with the 4 individdual pics and the full color poster with no changes.
Big question….is this worth 50 cents or 50 thousand ???

That's a crazy way to repackage the artwork. I suspect Apple never had any idea this was being put out.
The label says 1970, so it's not an original pressing. Other than that I don't have a lot of info on Korean (South, I presume) Beatles releases – I might be able to do some research, but I don't have the sources to hand.
I suspect Skye is correct and it's a bootleg, but I couldn't tell you for sure. I've never been much of a Beatles collector, beyond the original UK pressings – there are so many variations worldwide, including unofficial ones, that it seems like an endless task.
Damn, that book The Beatles Covered has sold out now. I really wanted to get a copy, though the price always put me off. You could ask the author about your mystery pressing though – his email address is on this page: http://www.ajonobook.com/ajono…..Order.html

Thanks for the link, I will contact them to see if they know anything.
Yes, my brother was up at the DMZ in South Korea at the time.
Skye, it was I who wrote on the jacket. Didn’t give it much thought at the time.
Here the Abbey Road album that I also got at the same time frame. The back cover was untouched, but look at the ad-libbing they did on the front cover. The AR album never had the large block letters on any of it’s cover, did it? I never could find one, at least looking at eBay.
Speaking of eBay, I saw this in closed auctions. Could this be real? Not much to go on with the minimul write up.

OK, I've found out a little bit about the South Korean releases. The Taedo label stuff is counterfeit (meaning not approved by EMI or Apple). I've got a picture in a book (Beatles Worldwide by Christophe Maus) of the Abbey Road pressing similar to yours. I think they did them in blue because they didn't have sophisticated printing facilities.
Apparently the records were printed in small quantities of around 500-1,000, making them hard to come by. I don't know if that makes yours valuable.

' The Taedo label stuff is counterfeit '. Wow, hope I don't get busted after 40 years!
That is an interesting fact about how many were printed.
' I don't know if that makes yours valuable.'……I would suppose that the end of a sale on Ebay would probably show that.
I really appreciate all that you have found out. I always knew it was an oddball. One guy, many years ago, offered me $50 for it ( which is about $35 GBP ), I had to refuse it, knowing, just maybe, it might be more than that. Hey, my luck, I might only get a nickel – ninety eight for it. LOL
Maybe someone here might offer me enough for it so I can retire! lololololololol
I will contact that company in Germany in two days. Playing golf tomorrow. 🙂

I think it does that sometimes but I don't know why. Probably a cookie issue. Really, no idea. It bugs me too.

When I went to another topic to reply to a post, it wouldn't let me. At the top it told me I had to be logged in to post. Any idea on what may be happening?
Which browser are you using when you have the “You must be logged on” status? I've been having the same issue. I've noticed it when using Firefox and not so much when I use IE. (Maybe Joe is getting kick backs from Bill Gates.)
Look Up The Number
I get it myself in FF. No idea of the cause. No kickbacks here, promise.
If I get time I'll query it with the forum plugin people.
