Last Tuesday I went with my wife and three children to 8 Haymans Green, West Derby in the suburbs of Liverpool and met Rory Best (Pete's younger brother by 4 years) for a personal tour of the Casbah Coffee Club. I say 'personal' because it was literally just us five – wow!
Rory spent 1 hour and 20 minutes with us and was absolutely charming and brilliant fun. There was no rush. I was allowed to photograph all I wanted (including Rory and me together) plus he took one for me of my wife and I.
The time went by in a flash, but believe me, when we came out and we drove off with Rory standing at the gate waving us goodbye I was totally buzzing like a 14 year old kid at Christmas!!
I'd post some photos but I haven't a clue how to do that. If someone would be so kind and inform me what to do I'll get on to it ASAP.

Upload them to Photobucket or Twitpic. Right click the picture, click “Copy Image URL”. In this posting space, click on the tree and where it says image URL hit Ctrl+V then enter.

Cynthia's silhouette of Silver Beatle John.
Rory told me this was the spot John & Paul cornered Stu and relentless pressured him into buying a bass guitar with his prize money.
The ceiling John painted – this was attempt number three!
John carved his name in the wall panelling and got as far as this before Mo caught him. He got a smack around his ear apparently….

Oh wow, I'd heard about some of these (particularly the silhouette) before but had never seen them. Thanks so much for sharing. Great pics! I say this every time, but I *must* go to Liverpool again.

Offline Thanks mjb – my favorite pics are of the stage and the “corner”.
One of my wife's goals in life is to visit London. I always tell her I'd love to go as long as we can make the trip up to Liverpool for at least one day.
