Curious if there is a list like this or if the forum can help complete a list. As we all know, several songs that were later released on a solo record were played during a Beatles recording session. Some of these were given honest attempts by the band, others were songs that were submitted to the group and practiced but never came close to actually making an honest attempt to record for an album. Some are even just snippets that were played in passing and were not fleshed out more until after they broke up. Finally, there were songs like Child Of Nature , whose melody was used with brand new lyrics to create Jealous Guy . This is nowhere near an exhaustive list, I just listed 3 each from George, Paul and John. I’m sure there are several out there that I had no idea originated from the Beatles days.
Not Guilty – Beatles made a very serious attempt to record for an album but never got a version they liked. Was later recorded with a slower tempo and released in 1978.
All Things Must Pass – I think the Beatles or some of the Beatles attempted demos as we’ve heard the Anthology versions and other bootlegs, but not sure it was ever seriously considered for an album.
Circles – Demoed during the Kinfauns demo session, was never attempted by the Beatles and eventually appeared on Gone Troppo in 1982.
Junk – Originally demo’d before the White Album . Was submitted during the Abbey Road sessions but not included in the album. Released on McCartney in 1970.
Every Night – Beatles attempted during Abbey Road sessions but didn’t go super far. Released on McCartney in 1970.
Teddy Boy – Beatles also attempted during Abbey Road sessions. Released on McCartney in 1970.
Child Of Nature /Jealous Guy – As mentioned before, the lyrics were completely reworked to make Jealous Guy , but it was originally created based on the same lecture that inspired Paul’s Mother Nature’s Son , which was eventually chosen for release. Released on Imagine in 1971
Cold Turkey – I am not sure if an actual demo was recorded, but it was at least presented to Paul for inclusion on Abbey Road and was rejected, so he released it as a solo
Remember – The piano riff for this song was tried out for the coda of Something , but not used. Later released on Plastic Ono Band in 1970

Yes that does help, thanks! Any similar lists for Abbey Road , White Album , etc? I don’t imagine there are a ton of future solo material from sessions before that.
