I was just curious to know what any of you think about songs John and Paul may have written to one another after the breakup. I know there are a few that are definitely written to/about the other (Too Many People , How Do You Sleep?, Dear Friend, Here Today , etc.). Are there any of their songs that you guys think they specifically wrote to each other. I know Paul has said that John said “Jealous Guy ” was about him, and I happen to think “Some People Never Know” and “I Know (I Know)” may be a dialogue between them. Music seemed to be the way they communicated best, so it's something I think about sometimes. It seems likely they would have talked to each other this way. Here are some more that, when they sing them, makes me think about the other (think I'll just include Paul's because on John's, I can't always decide).
“Little Lamb Dragonfly”—no way is this only about a lamb
“Mamunia”
“Somedays”
“The Song We Were Singing”
“Riding to Vanity Fair”
There are a few more, but I want to see what you guys think. I'm not necessarily saying Paul did write them to/about John, but I think of John whenever I hear Paul sing them.

I know this song migh be about his son James, but everytime I listen to “Young Boy” I think of Paul singing it to John when he was a kid.
Oddly enough, I do, too.

Oh Yoko was probably about someone…maybe Ringo.
Is this the ancient art form of humor called sarcasm that I detect? You can't deny that they kept up a dialogue with each other through their music…there is just too much evidence otherwise, or so I think. Could be in my head, maybe.

Sure, to me Here Today isn't the best tune, but it's the intent, the lyrics that make it special. I almost always skip it on my playlist, along with How Do You Sleep? because they are downright painful for me to listen to.

I'll always hear “Two Of Us ” as Paul's tribute to himself and John rather than Linda (partly because it's J&P singing it, obviously.)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
