I think he deserves his own thread, plus I have a question:
The new Sgt. Pepper book says that The Beatles performed ten concerts and a TV show.
Does anyone know which TV show and if it is availibly anywhere?

The show was The Beatles in Nederland, taped 5 June 1964 in Hillgrom in the Netherlands.
Their performance was mimed though (though their mics were left open and they sang along to the studio recordings in places).

Is that the same show with the crowd dancing to Roll Over Beethoven ? If so I always suspected it was mimed.

Offline That’s the one. It’s the show in the ‘Anthology’ where you see John, Paul and George surrounded by fans as they try to play before leaving the stage whilst the music and Jimmie play on.

Offline I think the weirdest thing about the Jimmie Nicol story was the media’s assumption that he’d “disappeared”. Of course he hadn’t, the media just weren’t interested in him, and I always found that instructive. The Australian pressing of Beatles For Sale of course features Ringo at the Melbourne Festival Hall, and he only returned in 2013. I can’t believe it’s been four years already.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 
but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Offline My Mum went and saw The Beatles at Festival Hall when they toured Australia in 1964. She was happy as I believe it was the first show Ringo played on the Australian tour and Paul makes reference to this in the concert film as well.
