I don’t believe that there’s a dedicated page about Ivor, forgive me if there is. Ivor is one of my heroes thanks to teenage years glued to the John Peel show where he recorded many sessions, appeared as Buster Bloodvessel in Magical Mystery Tour at Paul’s insistence, got an album Ludo produced by George Martin, and was a definite influence on John and Paul, and particularly on You Know My Name although I hear him lyrically at the start of Paul’s When Winter Comes. And he was on Rutland Weekend Television too. Nice article on his Beatles association in The Herald:

If you haven’t heard him I particularly recommend:
- A Doughnut In My Hand
- There’s A Hole In My Head
- Pickle Your Knees
- Old Black Dog
- Cockadoodledont
All on You Tube. You would struggle to find more absurdist, and a true eccentric. He’s particularly suitable for keeping children amused – given he taught 7-11 year old’s for 30+ years he knew how to grab their attention. A cure for depression too. Sky Arts have a simply great documentary presented by KT Tunstall available on catch up currently, which was the inspiration for this thread.
