Hello my friends
My grandmother asked me to sell her beatles autograph (cause I’m the computer guy in the family). But I have no clue where the best place is, so that’s why I joined the experts for help :P.
The card has always been there since I can remember, my grandma got it from her sister back in the day when she came back from her travels in England. Her sis went to see them there I believe it was one of there earlier concerts. But I suppose you guys can tell me more about the card.
I don’t have an eBay account with established reputation so that’s out. I don’t have a COA yet because you can’t get it here in Belgium. And I don’t want to risk sending it to the states or something by post. But is a COA even worth it??
To wrap it up: What’s the best place to sell and what do you think it’s worth?
Thank you very much
Sorry Spacer… these are not even close….

I have this EARLY Beatles postcard with autographs of all 4 Beatles (but Pete Best instead of Ringo Starr ) authenticated by PSA. Considering selling it – trying to get an estimate of value – any ideas? Also, better to sell it on ebay or through an auction house or to try and sell it privately? Thanks!

Not authentic I’m afraid. Certainly not signed by any members of the band or their road managers etc who sometimes signed their names.

Hello beatlesbible people. As a baby boomer, born in 1950, my life changes forever February 9,1964 when I saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I’ve been collecting Beatle stuff since then and have a massive collection. I’m interested in selling a framed autographed, first edition of John’s first book: “In His Own Write”. It’s been hung, displayed in my home for over 25 years and my gut tells me it’s time for a new home.
I’m attaching 4 photos of the Book and inside cover autograph. John hurridley signed this in the “turquoise ink” of the time.
I may be interested in selling other pieces but honestly don’t know how to go about it. I just googled and found this site, which I hope will be a resource in my efforts to sell part of my collection.

We have an autographed George Harrison ‘The Concert From Bangladesh’ booklet, from the album, with George’s signature, which was verified by several Beatles experts. Next to George’s signature, is a small blue stamped ‘G’.
We are wondering if there are other autographed copies with this ‘G’ stamp, that are for sale. if anyone has one for sale, we would be interested in seeing and possibly purchasing it.
Please contact us with your stated price and the best way to contact you.
We are also interested in almost any George Harrison solo articles.

I have a client who is requesting me to sell an autographed photo of all four Beatles. I was wondering your opinion on the authentic signatures. My client says the photo was taken at the Morrison Hotel in Miami.

She says her father told her the picture was taken by their manager Curt Gunther.
So wanted your opinion before I move forward trying to sell it for her. Thank you!

Hi. It’s incredibly difficult to authenticate them thru a picture on a website, especially on a forum such as this – you are far better to seek expert advice. One way is contacting an auction house such as Christie’s or Omega and speaking to one of their representatives, if they cannot help you then you will surely know someone who can. Alternately a google search brings up this site which says for a fee they can say if it’s genuine or not, and there are others (the one I highlight is only because it was top of the search results, I’ve never used it so have no idea if its any good). Have a look around, decide how you feel best moving forward and go with it.
All the best in your inquiries and please let us know the outcome.

Beatles signatures are so tough, because Neil and Mal were supposedly responsible for a heavy percentage of their autographed memorabilia, as they were essentially master forgers along wit many other roles. With that being said, experts can identify an authentic Beatles signature, which is obviously more valuable than a original forgery, however some forgeries also have some value compared to a modern forgery. I’m no expert so I can not speak to these, however I would assume that the photograph has some value.

Good idea. You might want to add Bonhams to the auction houses, the third of the big three.

FWIW, not one of those signatures looks authentic to me. Even if they were actually written by the Beatles, I’d rather save my money for a set that looked better. Also Curt Gunther was a photojournalist, not the Beatles’ manager.

Back in the 90s I picked up a few issues of Autograph Collector magazine and I got interested in collecting signatures. I was lucky enough to get a few Beatles-related ones. The first person I wrote to was George Harrison , and included return postage, but unfortunately it all got sent back to me, unsigned.
These are the folks who actually signed for me…
Klaus Voormann – I sent him a blank index card to sign, but to my surprise, he sent me a nice picture of the Revolver album cover, autographed.
Billy Preston – In 1996 I received a small, light blue piece of paper signed by Billy.
Yoko Ono – Perhaps the weirdest signature I ever received because of the card she signed on. I sent Yoko a request in 1996. Even though Autograph Collector magazine said she rarely signs, I decided to send her a very kind letter and an autograph request to her residence in NYC. A few months after I sent it, I received a strange piece of mail that only had the return address as New York, New York written on it. I didn’t recognize the handwriting and had no idea who it was from. I opened the envelope and removed a completely blank, white card. I mean, there was nothing on the front or back of the card. What the heck was this??? Now I was really confused. I opened the card, and the only thing on the inside was her signature, that read, “Love, Yoko” Wow, my jaw dropped!
Astrid Kirchherr – I sent Astrid an index card to be signed along with return postage. To my surprise, she sent me a very nice, autographed black and white glossy picture of herself. Sweet!
I don’t have any real interest in collecting autographs anymore… aside Beatles or Beatles-related ones.

I have a card signed by Ringo and George from circa 1963. It was given to my sister when she met them at a bowling alley in Stoke-on-Trent where they were playing.
She has given me a letter to explain this.
I am not a collector and wish to sell it, can anyone give me an idea what its worth ? I have been offered a sum by a dealer, but I guess this should be the lowest offer given they have to sell on at a profit.
Thanks for an ideas .

Hi @ediblehorse – I’ve moved your post to this catch-all thread.
I’m not an autograph expert but from my very amateur eyes I don’t think that’s Paul…
Perhaps someone else might be more certain
