Things related to Jimmie do get posted they just get swallowed up as they are scattered all over the place. Temporary Beatles might be better tho but can his name be in the title to aid searches.
Yeah, I could do that. Jimmie, Stu, Pete… Would we add Quarrymen to this? Because I don’t think there’s a thread for them.

Just pick the early Quarrymen, not the later ones!
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Why not the later ones? Jimmie and whoever else has every right to be included if they became part of the group for however long.
Would it be including the more substantial folk who appeared on Beatles records like Billy Preston?

We have several threads with Stuart (and Stu) in the thread title. I guess we can just leave those.
This general thread is probably a good idea. I’m not sure if a little more searching is warranted first.

Yeah, no need to jump on it. I just find sometimes I want to post something about the Quarrymen or Silver Beetles, etc., and there’s no specific place to do it, and it seemed like a good general place. But maybe those earlier incarnations should be a separate from a temporary Beatle one (like Billy Preston, as MMM suggests) altogether.

Well, add the later ones. I thought they weren’t involved with Paul, John, and George. But I guess they are.

50 Years Ago Today, the AHDN soundtrack was released in the US. From Fab Four FAQ 2.0:
Also on June 26, 1964: On this day, the A Hard Day’s Night soundtrack album was released in the US.
Though the Beatles were only ever contracted to make a film in the first place on the premise that even if the movie bombed, the accompanying LP would surely earn a tidy profit, United Artist unwittingly provided a less than value added template for Capitol with this release.
Since UA only held rights to songs written for the film, the remainder of the album was rounded out by the instrumentals provided by the George Martin Orchestra; surely of less than passing interest to young record buyers in the states.
(In the UK, thirteen originals comprised the counterpart release.) Capitol would follow the design a year later with Help !, while boosting the list price a dollar as a “deluxe” issue (i.e. it had a gatefold sleeve).
Of interest to fans nowadays is the mixes for the film that vary from the more familiar iterations; for example, the single-tracked lead vocal on “And I Love Her ,” as heard in the film originally (before being tampered with repeatedly in the digital age).

Why did the songs get tampered so much that they want the original mixes now?

Thanks for the heads-up. I’d never heard those instrumental versions before. Were they available on any UK release? I see i-tunes credits them to “the George Martin Orchestra” ..

It is still 6 July 2014 in my time zone, so I am going to add this.
A Hard Day’s Night (the movie) premiered at London’s Pavilion Theatre 50 years ago today.
