Songs, albums, movies, or anything else you care to name.
I'm stuck between these three:
1. Split The Beatles into two albums.
2. Combine Rubber Soul and Revolver somehow.
3. Leave off the last chorus of “For No One ” so the song will end with “You won't forget her.”
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

I already have. Thanks to my iPod, my favorite Beatles album is Rubbolver.
If I could change one thing, Brian would not have died when he did.
I get the part about history showing they were relying on him less and less when they stopped touring, but John himself talked about the fact that he knew they were “done for” when Brian passed. I may be way off base here, but can't help thinking he could have held them together longer.

Awesome name Zig!
I don't think I'd change anything about the Beatles. I know I won't become the most popular if I say I'm glad they broke up when they did. I mean, they broke up when they were the best, and they're still the Best maybe because they stopped when they were young and beautiful.
I might change only one thing : John and Julian relationship. I wish John had been a better father to him.

For the sake of their nervous systems, I wish the Jesus comment and the Manila show never happened. I know that's two, but I really can't decide which is worse. Probably the Jesus comment.

I'm not trying to start anything, but can I ask why not?
That Brian Epstein hadn't died, and therefore Allen Klein didn't get involved. They might have split anyway, but it would probably have been handled a lot more delicately.

OK Missy – I get enough spit takes from skye! Don't you start!
Besides, the topic title says “If you could change ONE thing about the Beatles, what would it be?” She didn't ask “if you could change ONE thing about mithveaen, what would it be?”

Totally agree, mithveaen!
I've got a few changes in mind, but since the thread topic specifies ONE thing, I'll say that I wish the Beatles had left behind a decent document of those legendarily frenzied Hamburg sets.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.
