Awww, I don't hate the guy… but I don't like him. He was no Ringo Starr . Ringo completed the band, and also he had a cool name (Can you imagine John, Paul, George, and Pete? It doesn't sound as awesome as John, Paul, George, and Ringo does.) But I don't know him, so I don't hate him. Also, we are birthday buddies :D, so I can't hate on a birthday buddee. Still, he is no Ringo. He didn't fit.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone on here, and if Pete Best really is here, but he's a loser. He constantly said stuff like “Oh, well, I had to leave the band.” or “I left the band”. No. You were kicked out.
But…I don't know. I think he was the reason why Decca didn't accept them the first time, too. He basically fluncked out. Thank you, Ringo.
I salute the lady who screamed "I love you Paul!" at a tribute band's concert.

I agree. Pete isn’t a good drummer, and he has tried to rewrite history. And also, you don’t need to be Always previewing your statements with I hope I don’t offend. If we get offended, then apologies.

Well it's probaly easier for him to say that then to say he was kicked out, and he knows it that he was kicked out. It's like when somebody asks you how you're feeling and you say good even though you feel bad because you don't want to talk about it.
I agree that he was probaly a big reason Decca didn't accept them, and the other reason's becuase at the time, guitar music was going out. It's a good thing Decca didn't accept them though, because if they did Ringo might not've joined.

I read an article once that Pete Best was kicked out of the Beatles because Paul was jealous due to the fact that Pete had the most fans and was the most popular and he didn't like it. Not sure if anyone else remembers reading about this but I find it interesting. Pete was replaced due to the direction the band was taking and his style of playing just wasn't fitting into what the group was trying to achieve. Ringo was the perfect fit!

True, but I still hold my opinion. Everyone knows the truth. I just find his as a loser. But if that was him, on the other page, wearing that shirt, he is soooo much less of a loser.
He's a “loser” in the sense that he was extremely unlucky, yes. And I have no problem with him claiming “I had to leave the band”, since it's true: he was forced to leave the band. And that was due more to personality conflicts than anything else.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Yeah!! I remember reading about that too! Then my friend told me that Paul and John thought that Pete was too 'hot' and he got the most fans so they wanted someone less hot, and that wouldn't attract more fans. But how could they say something like that about Ringo!? That's basically saying that Ringo isn't hot when he is!!! And Ringo still got the most fan mail….
"Hoop? That isn't a hoop, It's a lethal weapon, have you got a license for it?" -Ringo

Actually, I think that Paul got the most fan mail. That was a joke for the movie.
No, you're talking about AHDN , right? The joke was everyone was picking on Ringo for getting no mail, and then it turned out he was the last to receive any because he got *bags full* of letters. (Or maybe he just came from a very large family…)

I went to his website to check out, and yeah, it says that.
Well the guy deserves a place in Beatles history, but I'm sure that nobody can deny what Ringo did for the Beatles. Poor guy, it's hard to live with that weight.
