About 2 months ago, I posted on the prior page of this thread that my non-Beatle music collection was getting dusty. Now, thanks to you knuckleheads (I mean that in the most loving brotherly way possible) and a lot of your entries on the Song Link Game thread, I am blowing the dust off of a lot of music I really enjoy. You reminded me how good it really is.
Thanks for helping me out of my Beatles stupor (by Christ he was a trooper!). See? The unsolicited Sex Pistols reference proves it!

Wow, mith – I had no idea there was such a thing *shudders*.
Actually, I understand that the Jonas Brothers' popularity has peaked and is shrinking – too bad JBs! Don't feel bad, it was bound to happen.
We'll probably have to find someone else to make fun of. Oh, if only there were another easy-target pop sensation with the initials JB! Like some 14-year old Canadian with big teeth or something.

Why, thank you. (Stupid edit button needs to leave when it's not needed.)

Your subtlety is a strength.
Is that oxymoronic? Is oxymoronic a word?
I think it is, if you say it to a very bright person with no brain…
I know I know it's lame. I just asked my friend Merriam and my other friend Webster, and yes, it's a word.

Whilst I like a lot of other music, the Beatles dominate because of their breadth. It would take a lot longer to “wear out” the Beatles's music than most bands, because they have so many sounds rolled into one. I think about 50% of the music I listen to is Beatles or Beatles related.
I told her I didn’t

That percentage sounds about right..the one music taste they have “ruined” for me would be hiphop, but that kinda did it to itself with talking about nonsense, expensive cars and a bunch of other stuff i cant relate to. i really cant listen to it anymore except some of the old school 90s stuff

LOL at '90s hiphop being “old school” – make me feel even older why don'tcha?!

I don't think it's about age really with hip hop, it's like comparing the complete garbage out now with some pretty funky stuff going on in the 80's and early 90's, so it has to be considered old school because they are miles apart. It's like comparing the Beatles or other 60's bands with all of those awful big hair bands that sprouted up in the 80's, they aren't necessarily that far apart in terms of years, but musically they couldn't be more different.

My history teacher already does that.
(someone in my class): You should do what Justin Bieber does.
History Teacher: What, wear really tight underwear?
Or:
Teacher: Justin Bieber lies about his age. He's really only four. That's right. Half of you girls are pedophiles.
Me: Mr. Fuller, that's not nice.
Teacher: What, you think he's older than four?
Me: No. You're implying that half the girls in this class actually like Justin Bieber.
Or:
Teacher: … Justin Beaver….
That's all.

Really? I think about 90% of the music I listen to is Beatles. And 5% is Beatles-related.

Oh, meh. It's too easy to pick on Justin Bieber. And he's 16, but who's counting? Maybe Selena Gomez…
