So I’ve listened through the first disc of the Revolver Sessions, and it’s pretty interesting seeing how the songs were put together. The solo vocals for Got To Get You Into My Life made me realize how creative the backing vocals are for that song.
I’m enjoying it, although the kind of thing I’m looking for is like a full chronicle of each song with like studio talk and them figuring out how to play certain parts and things of that nature. From what Ive gathered the Let It Be Sessions bootlegs are a struggle to listen to, but are they more like that?

There are very few true outtakes from the Revolver sessions available away from whats on Anthology 2 , i think its only some monitor mixes of Here, There And Everywhere and For No One and a couple of alternate mixes – there is one mix of Yellow Submarine which has a difference brass band solo which is pretty cool.
The Get Back sessions are more long rehearsals as they work thru each song from the beginning working thru different ideas with harmonies, instruments, solo’s, arrangements etc. The problem is that so much of it is unfocused and rambling.

@meanmistermustard, is it worth listening to?
The rambling and working through are kind of what I want, I’m interested in hearing the creative process.

Mr. Kite, The Get Back Sessions are interesting to hear, and between the rehershals, chatter and jams, there is always something interesting to hear. I would recommend it if you like how good (but often bad) things were that month of January of 1969.

Its worth listening to in stages as its nearly impossible to get thru it in chronological order; many have attempted few have succeeded due to the hours of monotonous jams, dull conversations and rehearsals. So much of it is really interesting and enjoyable to hear however and when they band does click into gear there is some excellent music.
There is a bootleg set called Thirty Days which is 17 cd’s compiling the best of the sessions omitting the tedious jams and other lowlights of the Get Back sessions and might be a better plan of attack for going thru it all than the 83 cds or whatever it is that A/B Road consists of.

I just got PC’s Revolver Deluxe, and it’s true, most of the “sessions” and “alternate mixes” are from Anthology. Like you say, For No One and Here, There And Everywhere , with several takes (they are labeled as takes 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, like that…some are just take 6, take 7, the normal, but some are “subtakes”. These aren’t on anthology, their sources are “CRMM” and “CCRMM” (not sure what those are). It also has the famous remix 11 of Tomorrow Never Knows from the first pressing of Revolver .

Finished Disc #2 yesterday, some highlights are a version of And Your Bird Can Sing where they couldn’t stop laughing, and the strings from Eleanor Rigby .

I sadly don’t own any of the Anthologies yet, but I knew the strings were on there. I guess apple thought they were highlights of their vault too!

I read the initial post and thought it was about Anthology 2 and disc #3 was referring to Anthology 3 .
So how you finding the Revolver Sessions @Mr. Kite? I saw somewhere that you were enjoying listening to the different components of each cd. Is it worth going thru and are the isolations/outfakes listenable or do they sound like your speakers are broken?
McCartney II and Emmylou Harris’s Pieces of the Sky.

@meanmistermustard The isolations are pretty good, in some of them you can hear other instruments/parts really quietly in the background, but they’re all good quality, and some of them seem completely isolated. Definitely not like my speakers are broken. There are also some interesting tracks, like an intro to Yellow Submarine , which I’d never heard before.
I’m half way through the last disc of the Revolver Sessions now, and I think I want to try to listen through A/B road next (yes, I am insane!) I found the first few tracks on YouTube here, but I can’t find it all to listen to online, (which would be preferred over downloading 83 CD’s, but what can you do?) So, do you know a place where I can safely download it all piece by piece?

I love George’s ‘Beware of ABKCO’-it’s got some great little tracks on it
Even though he did have a cold
Actually on the first take of Apple Scruffs , his sneeze is so weird
@0:49
Also a possible first world problem of it being difficult to play the harmonica with a beard and a mustache
