*Please don’t crucify me* But I actually like it.
"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

I think some of you are overreacting slightly – it’s not that bad, it’s not like a hip hop rendition of Something , is it?

My favourites are probably Something and Got To Get You Into My Life , and the kids are pretty good singers, however I think they should have removed the voice smoother to give it that raw edge…Something sounds too smooth for George’s croaky voice. (Well I think it’s croaky, I don’t know if any of you agree.)

The ones I like the most are Something , Yesterday (surprisingly), and Got To You Into My Life, which I’m glad they kept with original element. I thought they were going to do the Earth, Wind, & Fire cover, not that its a bad cover, I just wouldn’t have put it past Glee to have done the rendition. I get what you mean about Something , its too smooth, but it could have been worse.
Yeah a lot of the songs could have done without autotune, but thats the thing now. I knew A Hard Days Night was going to sound overproduce autotuned or too poppy, which it is. A few of the others good/ok, but not really great. My least favorite, which I have already stated on here, is Get Back . Its not that their voices are bad, but too jazzy and I just don’t know I just don’t like it.
Edit: Glee’s facebook just posted this (link below). Beware

That album cover has been so badly photoshopped. With all the technology of today about couldn’t something have been to make it less obvious?
Doesn’t it fit with the idea of Glee covering the Beatles, as in something’s just off and wrong about it?

I think I get what he means by ”croaky”. I love it though, I really do. I don’t see (or hear?) it as a bad thing at all.
Well, it was really bad back in ’74-5, but generally I think his voice was not too ‘croaky’.

Yeah, I’m aware it’s probably not what you strive for as a singer, but I struggle not to like it. I just think it sounds so sexy and lovely. He had a beautiful voice imo

The laryngitis period. George wouldn’t treat his vocal cords properly and thus we have the hard to listen to Dark Horse album. The songs are quite good, but the voice is tough to take at times, especially when he tries to hit high notes.
