replace “non existent child” with “self” and that’s me.
Twenty bucks though… that’s money I could spend on music…

Replace ‘beatles kids toy’ with literally any item and you have my entire financial life in a nutshell.

The toys are so cute, I could imagine them in a bathtub setting along with the obligatory rubber duckies.

I nanny for a three month old baby, and sometimes when he’s fussy the only thing that calms him down is playing music for him. Except if it’s The Beatles. I’ve tried multiple times, but it always makes him more mad. Today, though, I played Hello Goodbye for him and he stopped crying and was smiling the whole time. Then Strawberry Fields Forever came on and he started crying again.

I will play my children the White Album and MMT and Revolver and (insert the name of every Beatley album ever here). If they have a problem with it (although I will ensure that they won’t) I’m sure they’ll figure it out eventually.

If I ever have children I will raise them on the Beatles. Like any responsible parent, I will provide them with all the things essential to life. Food. Water. Air. Shelter. Beatles.

I might play some songs for my kids when and if the time comes, but I don’t think I would show them everything. They should get to discover it for themselves. I didn’t hear Hey Jude until I sought it out and it’s really cool being able to remember listening to that song for the first time. It doesn’t suffer from the overplayedness that a lot of people complain about.

That’s so funny – I’m listening to the anthology Hey Jude right now – something I’ve only heard a handful of times tbh…

Me and my brother used to always play The Beatles and Pink Floyd for our sister. She loved them as a baby, but at seven, she doesn’t care much for either band. ):

Well, maybe she’ll rediscover them one day and they’ll be all the sweeter for sounding so intensely familiar.

I’ve been trying to teach this baby I watch the names of The Beatles. I started with Richy because it was easiest for her to say, but now they are all Richy. She says Paul sometimes, but the rest of the time he is Richy.
