John with his glasses. It’s kinda hard to explain but it fits his personality better I think.

John’s.Child Of Nature or Jealous Guy ?
Sorry, Timothy, I’ve requested many times that answers in this thread are intended to be accompanied by explanations, otherwise it’s just people offering one-word answers, which can be kinda boring – especially when everyone here knows that you’ll always choose John in comparison to any other Beatle!

Jealous Guy . It’s a far superior song, one of by John’s best.

Magical Mystery Tour is always a good absurd laugh.
Yellow Submarine (the song) on which album?:

I love it on the original album as one of 14 unique pop tracks; including it again on the semi-necessary soundtrack album is redundant, although necessary. I like the song best on “Revolver “.

The 1977 version of Wings by Ringo or the 2012 version?

I like the second run of the middle 8 in the 2012 version, but the 1977 version has the superior vocal performance, so I have to choose that one.

I love the rough loud direct unabrashed question which demands an answer approach af the track. Plus, play it to some people or in some settings and the little reaction of surprise is cool. At times the Beatles are portrayed as nice clean mop tops. Well, play them a dirty song about a dirty man asking if he can have sex in the road!
But all hail the ‘WHP’ fanclub!!! It’s actually pretty cool how the Beatles gave the public a 50 second song folk disliked because it was under thought and didn’t really know what to take from it as it was so short. So to counteract that they gave them an eight minute very well crafted song (it’s not a song but you know how the public are) that they had no idea what to do with and disliked as it was too long.
Moving on.
Rejected George.
‘Only A Northern Song ’ or ‘Not Guilty ’?
"I told you everything I could about me, Told you everything I could" ('Before Believing' - Emmylou Harris)

“Northern Song” for me. “Not Guilty ” feels curiously lifeless, whether it’s George’s subdued vocal or the odd choice of harpsichord where piano/organ would normally be used, I dunno…I just find it a most unexciting track.
Better “bag” lyric: “All the way the paper bag was on my knee” or “Eating chocolate cake in a bag”?

“All the way the paper bag was on my knee”
(I only realised it’s not “paperback was on my knee” from your post!). I know Lennon had more of an affinity with bags, but the lyrics of Back In The USSR are so clever.
Carnival Of Light or Paul’s cut scene from A Hard Day’s Night ?

“Carnival” by far – the scripted pages reveal that Paul’s scene was pretty bad and useless, plus Paul’s the worst actor of the four. I care a hell of a lot more about their music than their scripted film exploits.
Ringo drum-fill intros: “Tell Me Why ” or “Savoy Truffle “?

I’m confused. Why are there two Von Bontees with the exact same number of posts?!
And Your Bird Can Sing always feels a bit insignificant to me after She Said, She Said and Good Day Sunshine , it’s almost a bit of a mix of the two. If I Needed Someone because of the bright guitar, because of the bridge and because George Harrison , scouse of distinction.

[There’s just one of me, Monkberry, with two accounts (for a silly reason) and slightly differing names/avatars. I try to post on both equally. And I normally wouldn’t answer my own question on a thread, but this one had been dormant for a month. – vb]
