As much fun as that ‘CBML’ scene is ‘AHDN ’, ‘TTR’ gets it from me. Ringo and his snow dog is the highlight but there is so much other stuff as well, plus I prefer ‘TTR’ as a song.

The first image, if you will. I always believed George actually had a hidden third eye, and this picture is a prime example of that. Here we have George foreshadowing the rise of the slasher horror subgenre of movies that will dominate the movie market throughout the seventies and eighties. If you don’t think George is some sort of mystic here, I don’t know if you ever will.

I choose “A Day In The Life .” “IATW” may be more trippy, but I like “ADITL” a bit better overall paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

George being extra salty in his songs:

Think For Yourself ” or “Taxman ”

There are a few other salty George tunes, of course, but I just picked this two out of the mix for the game’s sakea-hard-days-night-george-10

I’m not entirely sure if the Beatlethings above are indeed Beatlethings, or it’s a really obscure inside joke that only the toughest of Beatle walnuts can understand (which I understand I am not at that level, yet), but carpets will be my choice. Carpets are by far superior to rugs as carpets are soft and fluffy whilst rugs are course and stiff, in order to get rid of feet dust, after all.

^Go on a vacation. At least it’s a vacation and I could probably shake him off and enjoy myself. Also, he might not be so bad outside work.

(also have no idea what carpets and rugs have to do with the Beatles, but ok mccartney-shrug_01_gif)

Julia . I prefer it as a sleepytime lullaby over Good Night , anyway; the latter has too much going on to be as truly hypnotizing and relaxing as Julia is.

My pick would be “I’m Only Sleeping “, but that would be mainly due to my bias in song rankings between the two.

Wow, leather-bound Elvis-inspired John or sideburns-clad Rubber Soul John aren’t options? a-hard-days-night-john-3 Oh well, then 1967 hippie John all the way) john-lennon-salute_gifheart

Rickenbacker. I just love how dry and thunky Ricks are. They cut right through the mix and compliment Paul’s fluid melodic basslines so perfectly. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

I hereby declare that lovelyritametermaid shall inquire discreetly
[convenient snip] leather-bound Elvis-inspired John or sideburns-clad Rubber Soul John [judicious trim]?

Rubber Soul John (judicious trim).  5-plus years of maturity hopefully made him a little smarter and at least a little kinder.

Which ballad story do you like better:  The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill or Rocky Raccoon ?

“All Those Years Ago” wasn’t even originally a tribute song (recorded November ’80 with rewritten lyrics added later), and anyways I never liked it much, even while it was still on the charts. “Here Today ” takes it.

12-bar blues: “Can’t Buy Me Love ” or “Yer Blues “?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Yer Blues – give me raunchy John vocals over clean cut Paul any day.

(This might have been done before but) Ringo’s underwater adventures! Yellow Submarine or Octopus’s Garden ?

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

Octopus Garden wins it with guitar playing and harmonies.

Discarded Paul outtakes given away

Come And Get It or Goodbye?

I always liked Mary Hopkins recording of ‘Goodbye’ but when I heard Paul’s demo on You Tube a few years ago, I thought ‘Wow! How can he write something so simple and so brilliant, sing and play it so well and then give it away!?’ Paul just seems to make writing melodic songs look so easy! John is still my favourite, but I have a much better appreciation of Paul’s songs now and for a little while, he may even have been a favourite!

I’m not that fond of ‘Come And Get It ‘ so it is  ‘Goodbye’ for me!
