A. I gotta start at the beginning.
McCartney or McCartney II

McCartney II . McCartney seems too home made and amateurish.
Nowhere Man or Nobody Told Me?

“Nowhere Man ” would be my pick. Whilst “Nobody Told Me” has some good lyrics, I think “Nowhere Man ” feels more personal in terms of both lyrics and music. Also, I prefer a complete song by it’s original composer (I don’t mean any harm towards Ono, who did a good job finishing the incomplete song).
Song to (painfully) remove from “Magical Mystery Tour “: “Strawberry Fields Forever ” or “Penny Lane “

HAVE to keep strawberry fields. If not there is no emotional grounding for an other wise very upbeat album. Without this song it is almost a different album.

Do you want to pick two Beatlethings for us to choose from, @IzzyMissLizzy ?

IzzyMissLizzyI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’ll offer a choice, to keep the thread going in the meantime …….
OK, songs featuring a female’s name: Dizzy Miss Lizzy ,or Lady Madonna ?

Lady Madonna for the more creative guitar line.
The Beatles Second Album (US) vs Long Tall Sally (Canada)?

I would have to go for “The Beatles Second Album” Because neither have a natural flow swo you must go for the one with more options for songs as a default.
+++SORRY I FORGOT TO LEAVE ONE!!+++ Thanks @QuarryMan
Question: Do you prefer the SOUND of The Beatles recording “Live” in the studio or with the overdubbed spacious sound of the later years?

Definitely their later years. That’s not to say their early stuff is bad but Rubber Soul , Revolver , Sgt. Pepper , and Abbey Road are pretty much perfect whereas their other 7.5 albums aren’t.
John Lennon /Plastic Ono Band or McCartney?

Cherries album is a mildly enjoyable, hummable mishmash of “Wild Honey Pie ” goofoffs and half-songs, with one amazing song (two if you count “Suicide”); POB is a fully unified work of art. That’s the one.
“Julia ” or “My Mummy’s Dead “?
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Julia . Whilst both tug at the heart strings, there is less sadness to it to me.

Don’t forget to explain your decision – flat, unadorned answers make Paul sad!
I could go either way on LLL or TIL, but this time I’m gonna choose the latter simply for being more aurally exciting – I love the instrumental improvs.
“Gone Troppo ” or “Somewhere in England”?

The GH album came out in 1979, @vonbontee. 1981 was Somewhere in England.

My first “new” George album (rather than an old George album being heard for the first time), and with Gone Troppo being a bit hit and miss, have to be Somewhrere in England.
All Those Years Ago or Here Today ?

OOF… in terms of emotional impact I have to choose Here Today but tune-wise I choose All Those Years ago. SUCH a hard decision though.
Wondeful Christmasttime or Happy Xmas (War Is Over)?
Love one another.

Happy Xmas (War is Over). I find Paul’s song a little too kitsch whilst John’s is light but still meaningful.

This is a hard one for me because I’m such a huge Ram fan and Monkberry is such a good bop! but I love Helter Skelter just a teensy bit more so imma go with that!
Hmmmm…..
I’m Down or She’s A Woman ?

Both good but John’s guitar on She’s a Woman makes it the clear winner.
Lennon or McCartney (as solo artists?)
Love one another.
