Best psychedelic refinish, Ricky or Rocky.
Rocky looks like a happy fun children’s party; Ricky is more disturbing, with a minimal colour palette and those runes or characters or whatever. I think Ricky feels more psychedelic, so it wins. (But Eric beats ’em both!)
Congas in “Getting Better ” or bongos* in “Lose That Girl”?
(*needs more cowbell)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

John’s hipster glasses. Summer of love, all day long (even if he wore them after it).
Song to (painfully remove) from Revolver : “She Said, She Said” or “I Want To Tell You “

She Said She Said is one of my favorites and it’s the most “Revolvery” song to me, so I would have to (painfully) say I Want To Tell You .
Best song to terrorize small children with: Maxwell’s Silver Hammer or Revolution 9 ?

I would’ve called Rev 9 the more traumatizing a year ago, but that was before 50yearslate (? I think it was her) played it for her babysittees – actual small children – who found it hilarious! So in this case, I’ll defer to the opinion of actual kids, who evidently find Rev 9 funny rather than terrifying.
Arthur Alexander cover: “Soldier of Love” or “A Shot of Rhythm & Blues”?
The following people thank vonbontee for this post:
50yearslateGEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I’ve actually played them both songs, and they think Revolution 9 is good weird and Maxwell is bad weird (they’re wrong about maxwell but what can you do?)

Soldier of Love, most definitely.
Most iconic album cover – Abbey Road or Sgt. Pepper ?
Abbey Road is prooooobably more iconic? I see more people wearing Abbey Road shirts than Sgt Pepper shirts.
Covers by George on With The Beatles : Roll Over Beethoven or Devil In Her Heart ?
Love one another.

Devil In Her Heart . i love the slick guitar lines and the vocal harmonies.
Larry Williams covers: Bad Boy or Dizzy Miss Lizzy ?
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

“Bad Boy “, with its fun lyric and those dramatic breakdowns.
Half-speed keyboard: “In My Life ” piano or “…Rich Man”‘s clavioline?
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

“In My Life ” would be my (personally speaking) quite obvious pick. The baroque-sounding piano solo during the middle of the song gives me a sense of sentimentality and acceptance. Also, I never really quite understood the praise surrounding “Baby You’re A Rich Man “.
John Lennon Collaborations: Mick Jagger’s “Too Many Cooks (Spoil The Soup)” or David Bowie’s “Fame”

My pick would be “Say Say Say”. This is because (to me at least) “What You’re Doing ” is one of the less good Beatles songs on “Beatles For Sale “, in contrast with “Say Say Say” which I would say is one of Michael Jackson’s most underrated songs (same can be said about McCartney’s part as well).
“Egypt Station” track: “Back In Brazil” or “Hunt You Down/Naked/C-Link”

Haha, well I was referring to “What’s That You’re Doing”, continuing the Stevie -vs-MJ theme of the previous post:

The Beatles. They honestly made most of their covers better than the original.

While they’re both great albums, i’m going to go with UK because it has Nowhere Man on it.
Alternate version of A Hard Day’s Night : Mexico (replaces Can’t Buy Me Love and You Can’t Do That with Long Tall Sally opening side B) or Columbia (replaces those tracks with Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand closing side B)?
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

The Mexican alternative version would be the pick for me. I’m sure no one on this forum would outweight “Komm Gib Deine Hand” over “Long Tall Sally “. However, if there is someone that feels this way, I am apologetic if I do offend you in someway (if I did). But for the most part, I think the majority choice is clear.
Song to (painfully) remove from “With The Beatles “: “Please Mister Postman ” or “Money (That’s What I Want)”.

Tough call but i’m going to have to go with Money (That’s What I Want). While i prefer it over Please Mister Postman , cutting the less preferred song would mean having a 6 track A-side and a 7 track B-side, which is bad since you typically want the A-side to be longer.
What side of Hey Jude (AKA The Beatles Again) do you prefer to listen to first, A or B?
