I think I am the one missing something, I do remember seeing a post choosing either Sean or Julian, but it is not there anymore. I must have made a mistake.
Anyway to answer the actual comparison, I will go with George on “Get Back “. Something about hearing George mutter the wrong lyrics is pretty funny.

I will have to go for Julian. Not many people have the claim to fame that Paul McCartney wrote a seven-minute chart topper about himself. I also feel quite sorry for him having to go through quite a bit of the situation having his parents ending in a bitter divorce. Sean’s not too bad either, I especially like him posing in a similar fashion John did himself in the promotional picture for “Double Fantasy “.Ringo’s Youtube Music Video Instrument:
1) Umbrella – “Help ” Music Video
2) Exercise Bike – “I Feel Fine ” Music Video
I’ll go for the I Feel Fine video.

‘TMP’. If not in the right place ‘Wah Wah ‘ is far too much in the production set-up to be opted for whereas ‘TMP’ is catchy with bite without battering you over the head ending in your own headache. If seeking loud kick-ass in your face then ‘Wah Wah ‘ is a great place to go, however.

I’ve always liked the idea of the rooftop concert, how it was designed to surprise any walking past (I also prefer that era of songs over what was played at Candlestick Park). I also really like the “playing on the roofs again” bit, and might have used it for my location if it wasn’t already taken.

Let It BeConcoza A The Beatles! or Love Songs?
I grew up on ‘Love Songs’, it is a family favourite, and so it’s probably my favourite Beatles compilation of all that exists, including ‘Concoza A The Beatles!’ which ‘looks like a generic overseas compilation of early songs.

Past Masters / WFF version. It’s the one I’m most used to. I just wrote something About the different versions of Across The Universe in the respective song thread.

I will have to go for the “Let It Be … Naked”. This is because, whilst the original issue is perfect as it is, I always thought that Phil Spector’s work on “Let It Be ” was one of the least production in his career.

I’m going to have to go with Junior’s Farm, because I know it much better and I also enjoy making fun of it.

I would say Instant Karma ! because it has a lot more going on lyrically, and is just overall more interesting. It’s a great example of John’s talent for packing multiple themes that somehow into the same song by using countermelodies or chorus/verse structure (another great example is Happy Xmas (War Is Over). I also have a long history with this song, and it remains one of my favorite John solo songs.

I’m not a fan of either song but if needing to choose I’d go with ‘This Song’ as it doesn’t annoy me as much (the solo is horrible, however).

Missing/stolen post, could someone please claim (I’m assuming it’s from this thread):
I would have to go for “Because “, simply out of pure bias. Perhaps because “Because ” features all four Beatles, or maybe because I’m not a huge fan of their solo works in particular. John does well with “How”, but I must go for “Because “.rnCollage names: “Revolution 9 ” or “Carnival Of Light “rnSide note: I know “Carnival Of Light ” has never been released prior, but perhaps we could use our imagination on what it sounds like.

I would say “Standing” is better. CBML is a bit more dependent on the vocal melody for its basic contours; ISHST is more it’s own thing.
Drum intro: “Tell Me Why ” or “Savoy Truffle “
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I would have to go for “Tell Me Why “. At least to me, the intro on “Tell Me Why ” is more unique and fitting for the song, setting the fast tempo of the song, as well as providing the stability for the vocals and the guitars to shine and perform out of the normality. That being said, the drum intro to “Savoy Truffle ” is no slouch either, with the drum intro providing the percussionist flair to the funky, electrified brass riffs, as well as setting the overall tone of the song.
Guitar Solo: “Taxman ” or “Carry That Weight “
