I choose “Yoko”, a wonderful final word in John’s canon of recorded gob-iron performances, and his most Dylan-like arrangement.

Lucy. Cool bass and trippy marmalade-tinted imagery.
I should’ve explained, i was referring to George Harrison ‘s guitars.
Rocky is his 1961 Sonic Blue Fender Stratocaster that him and John got in early 1965, later painted in mid 1967.
Lucy is his 1957 Cherry Red Gibson Les Paul that he got from Eric Clapton during the White Album sessions.

Anyways, Paperback Writer and Rain .

Magical Mystery Tour , it counts as an album for me. The Hey Jude compilation is more a micro version of Past Masters .

Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown). I admire George’s tenacity and love for Indian-inspired music, but it doesn’t move me.
I know the answer, but Norman Smith or Geoff Emerick?

I will have to go with “Twist And Shout “. Whilst I do like “I Saw Her Standing There “, in my opinion “Twist And Shout ” has the better vocal and guitar performances. John’s vocals still blows my mind on how high yet raw it sounds, unlike many male singers recently (a certain “Baby” is a good example).

Geoff Emerick would be my (rather obvious) pick.

Interesting that you praise Twist & Shout for it’s vocal performance. Technically, it’s pretty shoddy (and Lennon hated it afterwards) but emotionally it’s brilliant.
