Paul’s. Sorry, but Beatle > dog for me. mccartney-shrug_01_gif A lot more music to listen to, which makes it easier to celebrate, as well. (I s’pose you could listen to Martha My Dear on repeat all day. ahdn_paul_01)

Tearjerkers from Flaming Pie , which one makes you sadder/cry more: Calico Skies or Little Willow?

Silly. I did used to call myself Silly Girl, you know, so I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t choose that option. Also, the Beatles are much better at silly.

The latter annoys me: I recall staring at that “Paul’s NEW album” thread title for weeks, wondering what the album title was. (silly of me.) RAM is funny ’cause it’s called RAM and there’s a sheep on the cover! I choose RAM.

US Top 40 for week ending March 31, 1979: #32 or #38?

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I guess Julia because it’s a little closer to my heart, and it sounds more personal than Let It Be .

Rain definitely. I love Rain , especially the backward lyrics towards the end.

Dear Prudence .  I love both, but Dear Prudence is one of my top 20 favs, maybe even top 10.  I love the way it starts out so gentle and soft and then builds up towards the end.

Beatles songs with a man’s name in the title: Mean Mr. Mustard or Doctor Robert ?

I had to listen to the anthology rhythm track to properly hear the bass on GMGM. The bass sound seems really odd, like the percussive sound of Paul’s pick hitting the strings is more audible than the notes themselves…especially with the horns drowning everything out. Listening without horns, I can hear Paul playing some cool 16th notes, really driving stuff. But I can’t hear such efforts properly on the final recording, whereas Lucy’s crucial bass countermelodies are audible with no effort. So I’m gonna say Lucy, just for that lazy reason.

Paul songs with very similar melodies: “Paperback Writer ” or “Get Back ?”

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Ticket To Ride . It’s among my favorite Beatles songs, with Ringo’s amazing drumming and John’s fascinating vocal.

Ringo’s covers: Act Naturally or Boys ?

Paul playing guitar, he was responsible for some of the coolest solos in their music, like Taxman and Good Morning Good Morning .

Octopus is slightly cooler, in my opinion, and the guitar is DEFINITELY cooler.

Which is your favourite side of the single: I Don’t Know or Come On To Me?

Come On To Me, I think. I Don’t Know doesn’t strike me as particularly remarkable, though I haven’t heard it in months. Come On To Me has good energy.

I would choose Magical Mystery Tour because I prefer the songs on that album compared to Yellow Submarine . However, Yellow Submarine does have the music from the movie.

Based on the amazing (awful) retelling of Pyramus and Thisbe done by the lads: Ringo as the lion or John as Thisbe?
