‘Important events’ does sound as if I could manage it so I’ll go for 500 points.
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Andy, important events for 500:Where did The Beatles play their 2nd to last paid concert?
Well, correct me if I’m wrong but the concert in Candlestick Park, San Francisco was their last paid concert. Since this concert was at the same time the last concert in their US 1966 tour, the 2nd last paid concert the Beatles ever played must have been the penultimate concert of this tour.
Hmm, I don’t remember the exact cities the Beatles visited in this tour but I’m pretty sure they played in California the last (obviously, since San Francisco is also located in California) and therefore I will guess Los Angeles because this is the first city that comes to my mind when I think of California and I don’t think they would leave Los Angeles out and play in San Francisco instead since Los Angeles is larger.
So long story short: Los Angeles is my answer.

I was asking for the name of the specific location that The Beatles played at, not the area but since i didn’t specify that and you did get the area correct and i also feel really bad about saying that you were incorrect on that first question, you’re correct.
The Beatles played their penultimate 1966 concert at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on August 28th, 1966.

Thank you very much, Dark Overlord, that’s very nice of you! Now you mention the stadium’s name I definitely remember it. By the way, I really like all your questions so far! Have you invented all of them by yourself?
Oh, and I’ll take a 200 points question in ‘books’ please!

I do come up with all of these questions myself, i don’t look up lists of good Beatles questions or anything like that because i don’t need to, it’s a lot funner to think of them yourself and it also makes cheating harder.

Lewisohn interviews Paul at the start of the book. While discussing The Ballad Of John And Yoko , Paul shows some uncertainty about whether he’d played guitar on it, to which Mark tells him that it was John.
We discussed it, that is you and I, in the song thread just a couple of weeks ago.

Ron Nasty, you are correct although that doesn’t surprise me due to your high intellect and vast knowledge of The Beatles that even i can learn from.
Andy, you are very close but wrong, it was 77 issues, so you lose 100 points.

I have a question about how you’re moving people on the board, @Dark Overlord. A matter of curiosity.
Martha’s question on The Beatles 2nd-to-last paid concert, for 500 points, saw her moved 4 spaces, while my last answer, worth a 1000 points, saw me moving only 3 spaces. I would have thought a 1000 pointer would have a larger move than a 500 pointer, so am curious how you’re deciding to move people on the board.
I’ll take 500 on film.
