A question about the rules: Does everyone move at the same time, wait for the last person, and then everyone can answer again, or do we just take as many turns as we can? That seems maybe a touch unfair…

Okay, thanks, I’ll take a 100 question, please, let’s see if I can answer it…
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Phew, I know that one! It was 1969.

Sorry, Yellow Submarine was released in 1968, 13 July 1968 to be precise. Since you don’t have any points, i can’t 50 points away from you, so you’ll get nothing.
Andy moves 1 space to instrumentation.

I thought to Martha’s question “oh yeah it’s ’68” and then she answered “1969” and I thought I was wrong and it was a worrying few seconds in my life.
Also, I can answer all of the questions so far (go Kodos). Now someone needs to do a 1000 pointer.

I will go for two guitar parts.
An acoustic guitar from George and a bass guitar from Paul.

I don’t get into make and model, that’s between Paul and his confessor, I just know there’s bass, it’s Paul, it played on a guitar – whether a bass guitar or bass played on the bottom four strings of a six-string. He’s not playing an upright.
But since Paul is said to have overdubbed bass guitar on 11 July, I’d lean toward bass guitar.

I don’t know whether to say right or wrong to this one, let me explain:
There are 2 acoustic guitar parts in the song, one by George strumming chords and another by Paul, doubling the bassline on his Martin acoustic guitar. Paul has confirmed this himself and if you listen closely at the beginning of the song, the bassline starts an octave higher than usual, confirming this.
By the way, when i say guitar or guitar parts, i’m not talking about bass guitars, guitars and basses are 2 different things to me.
Here’s the quote:
“And we all went, ‘F*****g hell!'” recalls McCartney, laughing. “I thought we were gonna hit the roof- and that became the total vibe of [the song]. Then I put the bass on … and double-tracked it with an acoustic guitar, which is a cool idea: an octave up from the bass, playing exactly the same on acoustic. We used to drive the meters right into the red – and in those days you could defeat machines. So [in that way] you could make acoustics sound like electrics by overdriving the machines. It toughened up the sound.” 20
I’ll give you half of your points, so you now have 200 points.
