How would ‘Boys ‘ work as that was a cover of a girl group track where the gender wasn’t changed? If it had of been would John have named ‘Girl’ ‘Girl’ as then there would have been ‘Girl’ and ‘Girls’, which would have been damn confusing?

It should also be noted that females have covered Beatles songs and kept the original gender.

New Topic… Erm.
13 officially released UK or US Beatles albums never released on CD*
1. Love Songs
(*this means officially released on a Beatles label ie Apple, Capitol, Parlophone etc, so not the 8 billion Sheridan compilations, grey market releases or the crappy albums you now find which include recordings from the BBC, in concert, the Cavern etc. I hope that is clear.)

I would question #10. Singer is a storyteller and could be any gender. Also for She Loves You , singer is a third party outside the relationship. That could be any gender too. #13 is just forcing things to end the category. I thought we would have considered the context of the overall lyrics rather than any automatic gender switch. That’s why I ruled out those songs as well as Nowhere Girl. Are there no deep cuts from the solo albums? I admit I’ve been too busy to go through them. Oh well. Let’s move on.
