3000. How Do You Do It ?

How can you say that How Do You Do It should have been released on a studio album? The reason it wasn’t is because the Beatles didn’t feel that the song was homogenous with their vibe. They could have put it out on one of their albums, but that’s not who they were. Are you implying that you think they should have been phonies and released songs to the public that they didn’t even like?

This will require two rounds using the ABCs. List something for the letter and tell something you don’t know about that person, thing, place, word, etc. that you learn from reading one of @Joe’s pages. I know some of the very knowledgeable people may have a hard time finding something they don’t already know, but I hope they can. This round is A-M.

A – Astrid. The park where she took her first pictures of The Beatles was Der Dom.

Great topic!

“M” things you did not know about the Beatles prior to reading one of Joe’s articles

A – Astrid. The park where she took her first pictures of The Beatles was Der Dom.

B – Bob Dylan was not the first to introduce the Beatles to marijuana.

We first got marijuana from an older drummer with another group in Liverpool. We didn’t actually try it until after we’d been to Hamburg. I remember we smoked it in the band room in a gig in Southport and we all learnt to do the Twist that night, which was popular at the time. We were all seeing if we could do it. Everybody was saying, ‘This stuff isn’t doing anything.’ It was like that old joke where a party is going on and two hippies are up floating on the ceiling, and one is saying to the other, ‘This stuff doesn’t work, man.’
