This one time, on my way to a Grateful Dead concert…what? Not that kind of trip?

I guess it would be when we moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Portland, Maine. We made the journey by car.

Where was the worst motel/hotel you ever stayed in?

Oh, God . I still have bad memories of a seedy roadside hotel with all of the usual filth; dirty surroundings, roaches, rats, and other pestilience, and mistery stains all over the rug and the bed and other places, it was enough to make me decide, “screw this, I’m sleeping in my car”. But you only come up to those places in a really seedy neighborhood and you’re out of other options.

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

What was the most miserable holiday you’ve had?

^ I do have a very similar collage to the one above on my bedroom wall though- ‘cept it’s not just George.

Have you ever gone sky diving? And if not, would you like to?

I know they’re 2 questions but I don’t care, I’m breaking the rules!

I dont like flying never mind falling thru the sky with only a parachute to stop me plummeting to the ground and being splattered.

If you could do anything for one day what would you do?

I wanted to say something all warm and fuzzy, but honestly?

Play for Manchester United at Old Trafford :)

Okay – what is your favourite city that the Beatles have visited?

Many years ago I had the urge to try it. I finally found someone who was willing to try it with me. When we called to make reservations, the phone number had been disconnected because they went out of business. I took that as an omen and never looked into it again.

New Orleans. We keep saying that we need to go back there. Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Nancy. If I get her drunk enough, I might get some really great information out of her. Bad, Ahhh Girl, just bad!

Are you off work this coming Monday to celebrate MLK Jr. Day?

Nope – gotta work. I do have a 1/2 day off however as I’m having some stitches removed.

Any NFL football fans out there? Who is gonna win tomorrow?

“Any NFL football fans out there? Who is gonna win tomorrow?”

The Packers – but only because I am a fan (I actually think it is 50-50). I will also go Patriots.

Next – which solo Beatles album cover do you like best and why?

No MLK day in Canada :( , I hate football :) , and my favourite cover is either “Plastic Ono Band” or the not-dissimilar “Wild Life “. I just love pastoral sun-dappled album covers with lots of green and trees and no text. Beautiful. (Incidentally, all my favourite Beatles covers except “Revolver ” are photos taken outdoors with visible trees.)

Are you doing any significant travelling this year? (I’m tentatively planning my first-ever visit to NYC (yay!) in May with a friend – the biggest Beatles fan I personally know, besides myself.)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Best solo Beatles album? I couldnt pick my best individual solo Beatle album for each never mind between all of them. Aside from the obvious there are ‘Wings At The Speed Of Sound ‘ (Paul) and ‘Gone Troppo ‘ (George). ‘WaTSoS’ is a great collective Wings band effort with some incredible songs, not all sung by Paul, whereas ‘GT’ is George making music for George and not giving a crap what the music industry or the fans wanted. The result being a very peaceful, joyful, relaxed listen.

I might go to Sweden to see my sister, her partner and their daughter but no dates are in place and they might be back over next month as well as Easter so it could be in the latter half of the year. Will see.

If you could go to see any one act in concert (Beatles related or not, dead or alive, together or apart) which artist and show would you opt for?

(That was actually favourite solo album cover you were supposed to name, @meanmistermustard .  But it’s cool that you like “Gone Troppo ” so much – I’ll have to give it a listen – I’ve never heard any of George’s 80s music at all, aside from the four or five hit singles. Oh, and I’d probably go back to Vienna in December of 1808 to see Beethoven’s epic 4-hour concert where he premiered the 5th and 6th symphonies, and 4th piano concerto and other stuff. The opportunity to hear a legend who was never recorded or filmed or even photographed – it’s a mindblowing fantasy.)

Sorry, i shouldn’t post when tired. By cover i presume you mean the front artwork and not a cover song. I cant think of one thats ever griped me the same way as a Beatles cover has or even one that i really like.

So the bar fight left you needing stitches, eh? What did the other guy look like at the end of the brawl?

Yes to traveling – London, Liverpool, Glasgow!

Great concert choice, Von Bontee!

I think it is time for a new question, right??? I’ll go ahead and add one.
