I would have to choose between Paul and John –the two of them were responsible for the best music of the twentieth century. But I can’t choose between them. Whereas John composed (with the help of Martin’s arrangements) some of The Beatles’ most innovative songs (e.g. Strawberry Fields, I Am The Walrus ), Paul is the author of timeless classics like Yesterday or Michelle . I can’t choose; they are both too good. I just wish they could have kept on working together.

Favorite solo career after the break up?

Paul, no hesitation. Not a big fan of John’s, I like what I’ve heard of George, and i like what I’ve heard of Ringo’s, but Paul’s is the best, especially his stuff from the 70’s.

Favorite classical instrument?

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Love the cello. I’ve posted in the past that I “air cello” every time I hear it on a Beatles song.

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

It’s funny – I was playing that earlier today.

I wish the word wasn’t so often used to just mean “Things to do with the internet”. Technology influences everything around us: the building I’m in, the desk I’m typing on, the clothes that I’m wearing, the roads that I drove on this morning. I have plenty of thoughts about the internet, computers, phones, tablets and software, but that’s what I think about “technology”!

If all animals could speak which ones would you want to employ, and how?

I would want a monkey for companionship. I don’t know if that is “employing” them though. I think it would have lots of funny things to say and would offer some interesting perspectives on life.

I hope some other people will think of good answers for Joe’s question.

Do you have a portable power charger/battery for your cell/mobile phone?

I would hire an elephant to be my personal assistant. I can’t remember anything any more.

If you are referring to one that plugs into the car cigartette lighter, yes.

Do you feel pressure to come up with a question, fearing Ad40 will scold you for not coming up with one?

Actually, I was thinking about a battery that you charge and can carry around in a pocket, backpack, briefcase, etc. Like this

that you can use to recharge your phone when you aren’t around a power plug.

I do feel pressure, but not because Annadog40. It’s just that those are the rules of the game.

Q: Do you have any bad habits –“bad” as in “dangerous” or “unhealthy”? How do you feel about them? I confess I know very well smoking is mine, but lighting my pipe or a cigar makes me so happy that I just tell myself “Puff away Old Boy!”

(By the way, if animals could talk I’d have a gorilla as a bodyguard)

Oh c’mon guys, I’m not asking anybody to stand up and say “Hello, my name is Bob and I’m an alcoholic” (“Hello Bob!”) It can be something trivial like biting your fingernails or eating too much junk food. Let’s keep on playing.

I bite my fingernails constantly. I hate them getting past the length of biteabliity. Same as with toenails tho they are cut, don’t bite your toenails peeps.a-hard-days-night-paul-5

I’m not much of an alcohol drinker, don’t smoke, have never taken drugs and nowadays dont eat a lot of junk food however i could eat crisps constantly tho. They are a weakness. I should do more exercise but its winter in Scotland; getting ready to go outside takes 10 minutes in itself before you get the pleasure of being thrown about in the freezin’ wind whilst rain is hurled in your face at 300mph.a-hard-days-night-paul-3

If you could ask any question which question would you ask?

Paul McCartney , would you___________________?

This isn’t the Fifty Shades thread so I won’t fill in the blank. I think most of you can guess something for the blank by now.

Did you put any Christmas decorations on your house and/or in your yard this year?

We only decorate the inside for the most part. The only exterior decoration is a wreath on the door. Inside it’s a sea of red & green.

Am I the only one who buys their pets Christmas presents?

Nope, you’re not the only one. Squeaky toys are an important part of Christmas.

Is the road in front of your house paved or is it gravel (or something else)?

…paved (strange question)

What question would you have asked John?

Naturally. John would have been a happier teenager and adult, and less bitter. Maybe without his pain (it’s just an opinion) we wouldn’t have Happiness Is A Warm Gun or Yer Blues , but I would do it.

If you could go back in time and shoot Mark David Chapman on December 7th 1980, would you do it?

No – shooting him would have brought me down to his pitiful level. If I could go back to that moment, I would have kicked him in the nuts just prior to the first shot. Then I would have sat on his sorry ass until the cops showed up.

If you are one that celebrates Christmas, what are you hoping to find under the tree this year?
