I played soccer (football) and tball/softball when I was younger. I enjoyed soccer much more than softball and still do.
If you could get a tattoo, what would it be? Why?
If you already have a tattoo(s) would you get another one?
I indeed have many. I have a couple of ideas for my next ones (don’t plan on stopping any time soon). I want crows, on my left arm to go with the theme (all black/remembrance). I would tie it in for something to remember my Grandpa, as the crow love stems from my experiences with him as a child.
I also wanted to get this for a long time:
I recently had the idea to do this on my right hand, but only on my index and middle finger, to make a peace sign. It would be blues/greens to go with the “life/peace/love” concept of my right arm.
Do you like to shop for things online, or in a store?

Both. At a certain point in time I spent lots of money buying from eBay and Amazon (now I’m kinda broke, so I don’t anymore). Books. Recording equipment (microphones, interfaces, etc.). Pipes.
Do you feel as awkward as I do when you see a former lover after a long time?

Yeah. I saw my ex from 13 years ago recently, just passed him on the street. He didn’t see me, but I’m sure it would have been quite awkward if he had!! (I don’t have many exes, met my parter when I was 19)
Do you prefer to eat in or go out to dinner?

I prefer to order something and then to eat it at home… Easy, no dishes to wash… Probably it doesn’t match home-made meals but I like it. And at home…I can smoke after my dinner, or drink and not be worried about driving.
Have you ever felt inexplicably attracted to a certain kind of landscape you have never seen personally? The mountains? The ocean beach? The desert? I have; I am haunted by visions of a sea of dunes at dusk, and the full moon above the Sahara desert. I started to feel like this because of Sting’s Tea in the Sahara, decades ago; the sensation, the desire, increased after seeing The English Patient. I want to see the Sahara desert; I want to live there for half a year at least, in a tent, with a couple of friends, me and my guitar, my sketchbook, my laptop (or just notebooks) to compose, draw, write. Make the desert part of me, be part of it. Have you ever felt like that towards any given landscape?

Yes, the Scottish Highlands. All those glens and lochs just look so awesome especially with the fog and they evoke a feeling deep down inside of you that makes you feel connected with the world. Now I really want to go to Scotland, as Mull Of Kintyre is playing on my laptop.
When was the last time you really felt bad because you felt like you were really mean to someone for no reason?

To be totally honest, I can’t think of a time. I don’t really do that to people… Probably like 12 years ago? Someone I worked with and didn’t like for whatever reason.
What time of day do you usually eat your dinner?

The Highlands –yes, I could have said that too, @UnidentifiedFiendishThingy, I share the feeling. Or a landscape similar to that of the moors in Wuthering Heights. But the Sahara desert is my first choice.
I eat my dinner late –I’m a night owl. Around 9:30.
What is the first thing that you would do if you became rich all of a sudden?

I eat my dinner at 1pm- that’s when we eat out here in the wesht (sic), lunch hasn’t become popular over here- well among housewives with children who come home for school or who have farmer husbands.
If I was to become rich all of a sudden I would pay off my parents’ mortgage, buy them a holiday in Cuba, get them a retirement house out in the French/Spanish countryside, pay for my brothers and I’s college fees, buy loads of books and a house for myself and do a whole tour around the world thing.
Do you brush your teeth before or after you eat your breakfast?

I have my tea/dinner between 6pm and 7:30pm, normally nearer 7pm.
I don’t eat breakfast.
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought (outside of a car/house/apple box set)? Do you regret buying it?

I guess our MacBook would be it, it was around $1700 Canadian with taxes. No regrets, still love it to peices.
Do you eat out a lot, or more at home?

At home. I take my lunch to work.
And what would I do first with a lot of $ – take a long trip and meet a lot of BBers (if you want to be met).
Do you let the gas/petrol/fuel tank in your car get below a quarter of a tank?

I generally Eat At Home . I find it difficult to understand paying £20 for a meal that i can cook at home for at least half that and i don’t have all the faff of going out and all that entails. Plus its far more comfortable at home – folk tend to get annoyed if i take my shoes off and put my feet up when i’m in a restaurant.
Missed AG’s question – I don’t drive.
Did you end up doing what you wanted to for a living when you were young (does that make sense?)?

I don’t like to go lower than 1/4 tank but I will.
I’m definitely not doing what I thought (hoped) I’d be when I was a child. *screams internally*
Are you reading anything right now?

I’m still trying to finish Lawrence Sutin’s biography of Philip K. Dick. No matter how hard I try, I can’t finish it. It’s simply a bad book –which is strange, since Sutin’s biography of Alistair Crowley was excellent.
Since we are talking about general culture, what was the last movie that moved you, that really touched you (mine was Anonymous)

^ Good question! “Cloud Atlas” was the last one that really did for me. Saw it in theatres when it came out and was very impressed, just got it on DVD. It’s a 3 hour investment but I really love the concept of it.
What was the music you listened to?

Closely followed by Italy.

The problem with your question, @Mr. Kite, is that the reply might be offensive to some people in the forum. There are people from all over the world here –although Americans are the majority, for sure. And one of the things I’ve learnt living abroad is that many times the place you expect to be a paradise is in fact Hell –and vice versa. I know very well where I wouldn’t like to go, but I prefer to remain silent. Sorry, just a comment.
