Walls And Bridges is a good album but i prefer the anthology versions and other outtakes as i find the stripped arrangements work far better.
‘Give My Regards To Broad Street ‘ i hate. Posted the below in the film’s thread (the whole of that post can be read in post one of that thread).
As for the film the plot is so dull after 5 minutes you’ve stopped caring but its fine because its Paul and Ringo on screen. The acting at times by everyone is amateurish especially Tracey Ullman (tho a special mention has to be given to the stilted conversation between the two beatles in the recording studio at the beginning). The Victorian sequence near the end is so long and tedious that you pass from being bored into annoyance (i skipped thru it after 3 minutes and it lasts a lot longer). However that soon decends into being really pissed off due to the ending which is one of the worst i have ever seen. Godawful, abysmal, rotten, appalling, horrendous (i went to an online thesaurus); none of those words come close to summing up just how dreadful the end is. If you ever watch this movie and are able to bear the music turn it off after No More Lonely Nights (ballad) comes on, you will regret sitting thru the conclusion.
I knew one part of the ending beforehand but flipping heck – I watched this for free and yet i still want a refund and apology from Paul.
What was your favourite tv programme when you were a kid?

I you mean really young, Winnie The Pooh… If older kid… I don’t think I had a favorite. I don’t have a favorite show now either.
The half or so I saw wasn’t bad, haven’t watched it all yet.

More than enough to go round – like the lady with the small amount of oil that never ran out.
Do you know what Paul meant by singing “well she was just seventeen’ in ‘I Saw Her Standing There ‘ and if so what did he mean?

And what is your question Thisbirdhasflown? “Shut up, will you?” Only your dad can answer that.
OK, OK, I’ll be a sport. “Nope, I ain’t shutting up boy, not till we get to Tucson!” (Will that do?)
My question: what is the girl who doesn’t miss much well acquainted with?

“Life is like a box of chocolates. It’s a cheap thoughtless perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you ever get back is another box of chocolates, so you’re stuck with this unidentifiable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there’s nothing left to eat. Sure, once in a while there’s a peanut butter cup or an English toffee, but they’re gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits with hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts. If you’re desperate enough to eat that, all you have left is an empty box filled with useless brown paper wrappers.”
