There are quite a few up there.
Press To Play , Some Time In New York City , Driving Rain to name 3 but the worst is (probably) either Mind Games or Walls And Bridges . The reason being is that the bare songs are good and its really difficult to hear them buried beneath layers and layers of voices and instruments to the point where i dont want to play them but want to hear them naked. I feel it worse to have a good song made crap than something that is just crap.
If going by just complete crap with very high levels of dread Press To Play . But its close. Man there are some really shocking solo beatle albums – and none by George, which actually surprises me.
There are a few Ringo albums that are meant to be truly abysmal, hitting the deepest depths of suckiness, but i havent heard them (eg Ringo the Fourth, Old Wave).
What nicknames would you give the beatles if they were youre friends?

It took me a long time to listen to Press To Play because I had heard how awful it was. The 80s sound put me off a bit, but I found that I didn’t hate it as much as I expected. I actually liked it and have found myself listening to the cd quite a lot. I really like However Absurd and Tough on a Tightrope…could definitely do without Press. Talk More Talk is at least interesting, if not good. I like the album because it is a bit of a departure for Paul…doesn’t really sound like anything else in his collection. I do hate the production on it though. It’s a period piece and sounds dated. Also…Walls And Bridges …one of my favorites!

Offline Walls And Bridges have two songs that I really like, but otherwise it was a disappointment.

Offline Mr Sun gave an answer but presented no question. Someone could do it for him. Maybe thats what to do if someone doesnt ask a question whoever spots it first asks the next one, would means there isnt a wait.
So on that basis.

It's okay, Kerry. No need to apologize. This thread is a question and answer thread. One person asks a question, another one answers the question and asks another question. So all you have to do is look at the previous posts to see what questions have been asked. The very last post is usually an answer and a new question for a new person to answer. Well 2 of these songs are beatle related and 2 are about when John died. So I'll choose one for each.
Beatle related: “when we was fab” and “I'm the greatest” I choose When we was fab. I LOVE the video.
And John related: I think Here today because it's more emotional, I like the lyrics of all those years ago, but I think it doesn't go a lot with a sad feeling. When I first listened to all those years ago I thought it was a happy song

Offline I don't think any of them were atheists. I think, if anything, they were more agnostic. John strikes me as an agnostic with a propensity to believe sometimes, it a convincing person got ahold of him. Paul, I think, believes in God , but more as an abstract ideal than in a church-going sense. George was obviously very religious within the context of Hinduism. Ringo…not so sure about. I think he doesn't think about it much.

Ringo considers himself as a Christian Hindu with Buddhist tendencies according the Living in the Material World book. He basically believes in God while following the teachings of Hinduism and Buddhism. I would like to believe I'm the same way in a sense.
Back on topic: “Yomp” or “Back To You” by Dhani's band thenewno2. I also like “Nebulullaby” by Ghosts of a Saber Tooth Tiger, Sean Lennon's band.

Plastic Ono Band and the associated singles were too raw for the time, Some Time… is too political, Mind Games (the song) is too “clever” to be a number one, Walls And Bridges was largely awful (though yielded a number one… go figure), a covers album was never likely to be successful, and the last two didn't get a chance to get Off The Ground .
With that in mind, my question is “why didn't Imagine have three number ones?”.

Only Imagine was released at the time and not in the UK until 1975, and only Jealous Guy has since been a single (posthumously). I dont think John was that bothered after the album was released, if anything he saw it as a complete entity. Maybe that harks back to the beatles policy of not issuing singles off albums.
Having said that there arent many stand out singles on it, not that there arent good songs.
Having said maybe Yoko is trying to achieve that simply thru the song imagine (rereleased in 1988 and 1999).
