Would it be kosher to pass that round on to me, since Richard already won? …I got close, and nobody else is playing! It could be a learning opportunity…
@LucyInTheSkyWithHackneyDiamonds, I’m happy to give you the opportunity to post the next puzzle picture this time, but please bear in mind the rules of the game as shown in the first post of this thread.
* The song needs to be on one of those albums that Ahhh Girl has listed previously.
* Please don’t reveal your answer until either: (a) it has been guessed correctly, or (b) 18 incorrect guesses have been made. The rules about the guesses are:
If the round gets to 9 incorrect guesses, then the person who posted the picture gives us a solid clue such as who sang lead on the song, which year the song came out, which record the song is on or if it is a single. If the round gets to the 18th guess, the person who makes the 18th guess waits to find out if they are correct or not. The person who posted the picture reveals the correct answer along with their reasoning if the 18th guess was wrong. Then, the person who made the 18th guess posts a picture whether they were correct or not. The reason for this rule is multifold: it helps the game move along and not get stagnated and sometimes a picture will make perfect sense to the person who posted it, but no one else gets it. Sometimes I’ve done an *oh now I get it* after the answer has been revealed, but we don’t want to find out on the 38th song what the answer is.
…
Commenting on whether somebody is close or going along the right lines is acceptable at any stage; hints that are more specific, such as suggesting the players should hone in on something particular about the picture, should not be used until after the 5th wrong guess (unless there has been no play in the game for 48 hours); a SOLID clue, such as which Beatle sang the song, must be given after the 9th wrong guess.
Are you ready to post your puzzle picture?
