I think Marian had already exchanged her car at California Charlie’s at that point in the film, but still that’s a great t guess! Sounds right to me…Welcome to the forum, Strawberry64…

I can’t recall what Norman served Marian to drink along with the sandwiches in his office there, if anything, but I’m gonna guess it *might* have been tea…which rhymes with A, B, C, D.
Is your song “All Together Now ?”
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Not that one, sorry.
What is she doing in the reception of the hotel in that very moment?

Good one, SW!
Another song that came to mind in the later stages is The Fool On The Hill (“The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still” – near to the end of Psycho).
Here’s the new picture:

Great job on that last one!
I started to guess “Lady Madonna ” earlier today, figuring that the authorities “…finds the money” after the car is pulled from the swamp and inventoried after the end of the film…but then I remembered “duh, that’s ’68 not ’67”

Wasn’t Daisy Hawkins the original name of the song instead of Eleanor Rigby ?
Never heard Lennon’s isolated vocal in the intro before (I knew it was there though).

Thanks Rich! I first thought the image had something to do with the old “Love me, Love me not” game, but I couldn’t make it work. I’m glad Paul changed it to Eleanor Rigby though. Much more mysterious.

OK, circuitous guess: I’m told that one of the big clues for the “Paul-is-dead” nutters was the line “you were in a car crash/and you lost your hair”, it being a euphemism for Paul’s decapitation in his accident. So since we can substitute “hair” for “head”, let’s take it a step further and surmise that “When I get older, losing my hair” is a wistful line disguising something much darker: That the protagonist is actually worrying about loss of mind, about onsetting dementia, Alzheimer’s or something 🙁 (I sometimes feel like “Your Mother Should Know ” has this dark undercurrent too, the idea of very old, once-vibrant people fading; and the instrumental bridges even sound like old memories fading in and out…)
Anyways! Is it “When I’m 64”?
