The shorter woman is the actress Kristen Stewart. The taller woman is the model turned actress Charlize Theron.
Ah, I didn’t recognize Charlize, even tho I’ve enjoyed her in things (“Monster”, “Arrested Development”).
Kristen Stewart I didn’t recognize either, but I’ve never seen any of her work aside from Fincher’s “Panic Room”, when she was still a young kid. (And, incidentally, had one scene in which her fear-stricken and diabetic character keeps her mind calm and occupied by reciting the Beatles’ U.S. discography.)

VB, I forgot all about Panic Room. Have to check that out again. I think I also liked her in the movie where she played Joan Jett.

Oh cool, she was in “The Runaways?” I began watching that a few years ago, didn’t dislike it but was interrupted and never finished it…That band’s story really deserves a proper documentary rather than docudrama, but Jett’s own “Bad Reputation” doc did at least cover the bare Joan-bones.

There is Victory Tischler-Blue’s 2004 documentary Edgeplay: A Film About the Runaways. Tischler-Blue was known as Vicki Blue during her 1977 stint as the band’s bassist, and managed to get nearly everybody involved in the band to talk. The “nearly everybody” was the reason that while an interesting look at the band’s history, and not a bad documentary at all, it was flawed.
Joan refused any involvement in the documentary because she thought it didn’t concentrate enough on them as a band and their successes, instead looking more at the relationships between the members and the conflicts between them. As well as refusing to be interviewed, she also blocked any of the songs she wrote for the band to be used; and given she wrote a huge chunk of their material, meant the film couldn’t include as much music as they wanted.
Still an interesting film though, and worth hunting out.

Hmmm, on the picture, maybe Two of Us, as that was very much how J&Y portrayed themselves.

Noted, RN, thanks for alerting me about it! I see it’s currently uploaded on YT, I’ll have to check it out soon, flawed or not.
As for the image…might it be “Tell Me What You See ?”

Okay, I’m gonna be a bit cheeky here. With A Little Help From My Friends , with Yoko saying to John, “What would you do if I sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me?”
