Not sure it fits all the clues, but this lyric from Yesterday popped in my mind (I’m not half the man I used to be). Maybe the connection to Roll Over Beethoven is the fact that he was a composer of yesteryear.

Nice guess lyrically, but not correct, I’m afraid. Also, it’s not a Paul song I’m thinking of.

Within You Without You (you’re really only very small)
EDIT: Ok, i’ve just seen it’s been already guessed…

Okay, that was still the ninth guess, so here’s what we know: It’s a non-Paul song that has something in common with “Roll Over Beethoven “. And Sigh Butterfly’s “sitting on a cornflake” guess was possibly the closest so far, in that it suggests a specific size, one that’s comparable to the lyric I’m thinking of. A lyric perfectly applicable to a micro-sized Paul, able to fit on a cornflake.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

No idea but i’ll try Old Brown Shoe (if I grow up I’ll be a singer)

Uh-uh, not that.
Answer will seem really obvious once arrived at. Just think of a song which specifically references a roughly cornflake-sized object…

“You know that what you eat you are” – turning into a small sweet

No, I’m afraid that’s not it either – although one aspect about “Savoy Truffle “‘s subject matter is very close indeed. Oh, and my song isn’t a George song, either.

I’m back! I see were still working with Paul’s exciting adventure… I’m assuming the song is a Chuck Berry cover, but I just can’t make the clues fit with any of them. I’m going to try Come Together to get the guessing rolling again.
-The lyric “Got to be good-lookin’ ’cause he’s so hard to see” fits the image.
-The lyric “Here come old flat-top” is borrowed from the Berry song You Can’t Catch Me .
–Savoy Truffle is an early warnin’ to Eric Clapton about tooth decay.
Bonus:
-The image contains a mojo filter
-The image contains a gumboot/shoeshine
That’s all I got, as I can’t identify anything in the song that is the size of a cornflake.

Welcome back, Sigh Butterfly! Your guess isn’t right, but you correctly surmised that my song is a cover – just not a Chuck Berry one…which makes your guess sadly incorrect as well, Shamrock, sorry.
OK we’re almost there. Cover song; thematic link to “Savoy Truffle “; references an object roughly cornflake-sized; and NEW CLUE: It’s a “canon” song, rather than something exotic from the Anthologies or BBC recordings. That should narrow it way down. Come on, I know someone can do it!

Any chance it’s A Taste Of Honey , where Paul is a honeybee?

Very nice guess, fulfills all the requirements (one can indeed imagine a honey-flavoured Savoy Truffle bonbon), but…

DING DING DING very good, Shamrock, you’ve gotten it! And OMG I never even noticed the matches– I was just basing the clue entirely on Paul ‘sitting there wondering if a matchbox (as opposed to a box of choccies, ala “Savoy Truffle “) would hold his clothes’, ie. a gum wrapper.
We anxiously await your image. Congratulations again!
