@vonbontee, Sigh Butterfly has guessed Revolution 9 (“Everyone of them knew that as time went by/They’d get a little bit older and a little bit slower”) in his last post above.
Is that the correct answer?
And in the end
The love you take is equal to the love you make

Ooh, I didn’t think his was an official guess – he seemed convinced you had it with your last one, and I just thought he was demonstrating the versatility of the “Rev 9” libretto. At any rate, that’s not the song, so I’ll duly note it.
Two White Album tracks down, 28 left to choose from! (It’s not “Hey Jude ” or “…Mary Jane” either)

“No Reply “
“Help !”
“Get Back “
“Bad Boy “
“Cry Baby Cry “
“While My Guitar Gently Weeps “
“Revolution 9 “

Two more White Album possibilities come to mind. I’ll choose…

Haha, it certainly is taking a long time! No, I’m afraid that one’s wrong too; but you’ve gotten the correct album side, at least…
Go ahead and take your second guess, now that it’s permitted Unless someone beats you to it…

No, I’m afraid that isn’t it either…
OK, only four tracks left unmentioned from Side Three of The Beatles, (popularly known as the “White Album “). Surely we’re close to solving it now! One lyric from one of those four songs sums it up…

AND THERE IT IS!! Yes, John Lennon hyperbolically characterized the “Get Back ” recordings as “the shittiest load of badly recorded s**t ever”, and none of the others liked Glyn Johns’ various mixes either. Congratulations, Sigh Butterfly, you get to start the next round…

Oh God , I can’t stop laughing. Really feeling John’s spirit tonight. Here we go (probably a little underwhelming after that last one).

Betty White was more a legend of the TV screen than the big silver one, but I’ll start off by guessing “Honey Pie ” anyways.

Thanks Rich. I realized after reading John’s quote that the Get Back documentary has wiped my memory.

Yes, likewise.
I knew the quote, but it seems undeserved in my opinion (as the Get Back documentary illustrates). With all due respect to John, he was sometimes dismissive of great people, songs and albums.

Yes, I agree. What made me laugh so hard was contrasting John’s comment with the excitement fans have had hearing the original mix. The documentary has brought up all kinds of realizations for me. I should probably post them in the Get Back thread, though they might not be popular.
