No (x4)
Please Don’t Bring Your Banjo Back? (this is amazing, I had never heard it before)
The first two guesses were closer, in a way

Haha, that was kind of a joke answer, I thought you might’ve heard it before! It’s a little throwaway 4-line song in the middle of “Everywhere It’s Christmas”, the 1966 xmas fan-club recording…YouTube seems to have taken them all down, but you can hear it starting about 20:40 in the link. Song’s final line is relevant to your picture!

Having a groovy first day of spring including making pancakes, full album listen to Band On The Run (Mamunia is the song of the weekend), and a nice walk with pups in which he chased his first butterfly shadow of the season.

– You may need to brush up on your Greek mythology knowledge in order to figure out this one)
Yes VB, I remember Oudis.(once we had a passionate discussion about the effects of Primal Scream Therapy on John’s singing voice) When you posted about your forum history, I took a look back through a few of the older threads. Saw lots of forum names that evoked good memories.

@Richard – I remembered what this image was for. Since the Bakers Dozen theme I chose was based on a high school assignment, I was going to give grades when it was completed. Since your “essay” was about Einstein, I thought it would be cool to get your grade from him. A+ of course

Interesting! Did one of you speculate that he damaged his voice by screaming a lot? (I’ve heard it suggested that he lost the ability to hit higher notes through years of smoking those French cigarettes…)
Anyways, the picture…maybe if Achilles had done like Loretta’s mum and worn some “Hi-Heel Sneakers”, he might’ve not been fatally wounded…Is the song in question “Get Back “?

The first song that came to mind for ‘revenge’ was Norwegian Wood , but a closer comparison is…
Achilles took his revenge on Hector, who had killed Achilles’ lover, Patroclus

Get Back – this guess made me laugh
Already determined that this is an image of Achilles from Greek Mythology.
Hint: The lyric I have in mind references an event that took place way before the Trojan Wars.
@vonbontee – As I remember some folks took offense to talk about John damaging his voice (so we dropped it). There was a follow-up conversation about when did John stop singing in his natural singing voice and take on a more “forced/inflected” vocal style. I think it was decided that his last straight forward vocal was You’re Going To Lose That Girl .

“My mother was of the sky / My father was of the earth”
Achilles’ mother was Thetis, a goddess, and his father was Peleus, a mortal.
