Well reasoned @sirwalterraleigh, but not what I’m looking for.

Not a boot, but not released on an official album/CD.

It’s Saturday! I have two lines of thought here Ted. The first is that your image is meant to represent the color purple. Here in the states there is a lot of talk about purple states, which are defined as having equal support between the two political parties. I can think of songs with lyrics that fit but they have all been officially released. My other thought is that the image represents Linda’s daughter Heather. I seem to recall Heather having a vocal credit on the long version of Dig It , which as far as I know has never surfaced on a boot or otherwise.

Maybe The Ballad Of John And Yoko ? Heather Mills is quoted as saying to Paul “I’m going to be crucified” in regards to their pending breakup. She also lobbied for Paul to give his money away, just as Yoko advises John in the song. Plus this was a double A side and an Old Brown Shoe is “not a boot”.

If “not a boot, but not released on an official album/CD”, you’re looking at a grey area album like the Sheridan or Hamburg recordings (tho you could argue either way with those). You can also argue all BBC tracks have been booted so they are out, the demos have been booted as well. Suppose it could be a song that’s never been released ever.
I’m going for ‘Etcetera’.

I did not mean to imply that my song had never been bootlegged, as it’s probable that every song they recorded has appeared on a boot in some form. To clarify my hint, it appeared on an official release, just not on any EMI/Capitol/Apple album (that I’m aware of, but if I missed something in research I apologize). sighbutterfly is on the right track in that sense.

‘Nobody’s Child’
“Just like the flowers I’m growing wild”
The list of possibles is narrow so going thru the tracks and this is the first one where I can find a link.

It is heather, yes. But what other natural feature do you see in my pic? Put those together to come round to my song. Thank you, next please.

No guesses in 48 hours…either everyone’s busy or everyone’s stumped. In either case, how about a pretty decent clue?
My lyrics are actually spoken words in a novelty song officially (as in sanctioned by the Beatles) nearly 20 years after it was recorded.

Yep, I’m a bit stumped. I think that type of landscape is referred to as a moor. Perhaps a reference to Tommy Moore, who was the Silver Beatles drummer. There is a rehearsal tape that contains 14 songs (see spoiler), but I can’t link any of the lyrics to your image (and I’m not familiar enough to know if any of them contain a spoken word section). There also appears to be a loch in the background, so that may also be a clue. Maybe another guesser can use this info in figure out your song (on the other hand, maybe I’m ).
Silver Beatles home rehearsals, 1960. More than one hour of the band’s home rehearsals from 1960 have appeared in various formats.Three of the songs were included on Anthology 1 . The recording also featured early versions of songs that the Beatles would later record in the studio (“Matchbox“, “One After 909“, “I’ll Follow the Sun“). Other songs that were recorded during these rehearsals include “Well, Darlin'”, “Hello Little Girl“, “That’s When Your Heartaches Begin”, “Wildcat”, “I’ll Always Be in Love with You”, “Some Days”, “Hallelujah I Love Her So“, “The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise“, “You Must Write Every Day”, “Movin’ and Groovin'”, and “Ramrod”.

The other option that fits your clues are the The Beatles Christmas records. A reference to heather pops up at the end of the fifth record Christmas Time (Is Here Again) from 1967.
And Christmas time is all
And your bonnie clay us through
Happy breastling to you people
All our best From Me To You
When the beasty brangom
To the heather and little inn
And be strattened oot in ma tether
To yer arms once back again
Och away, ye bonnie

From stumped to chicken dinner in an hour. Not bad, @sigh butterfly! My song was on the fan club novelty record from 1967 and on the b-side of Free As A Bird in 1995. According to Joe’s BB page for the song, John says “To the heather in the glen” in his nonsense poem, so that was my pic. Over to you…
