On my system when I type @ a dropdown list appears and alphabetically auto-fills as I type. If I select a user name that relates to a different signup name, it auto corrects. I though everyone used this utility

I Am The Walrus is the song I have in mind, so it’s over to you, @Teddy Salad, for the next round. 
There’s a song called ‘English Country Garden’ by Jimmie Rogers, which was a UK No. 5 hit in 1962. Two of the things he mentions as being in an English country garden are hollyhocks and cuckoos. I expect John was familiar with this song (as it’s a kind of earworm song), and it might have influenced his thoughts when he wrote the “sitting in an English garden” lyric of I Am The Walrus .
(It may also have influenced Paul’s later song, ‘English Tea’: “Miles of miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree / Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively”)
