A Hard Day’s Night “? (The movie and the album came out in the summer of ’64– the same summer that Gilberto’s “The Girl from Ipanema” was released and became popular)

Also, we have the same “Julia ” lyric in our signature, @kelicopter! That’s pretty neat!

The following people thank lovelyritametermaid for this post:

According to Joe (https://www.beatlesbible.com/1…..g-help-45/) Astruds’s Girl From Ipanema beat I Want To Hold Your Hand for the 1964s Record of the Year.  So I’ll guess I Want To Hold Your Hand

A lot of good theories!

No x 5

Here There And Everywhere

Girl

A Hard Day’s Night

Eleanor Rigby

I Want To Hold Your Hand

So my clues are, it is related to Girl From Ipanema.

Richard’s wavelength is right, it’s lyrics that match/oppose Beatle lyrics

I think it's great you're going through a phase, and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple of days

Well, if Girl was the right direction, how about the opposite, She’s A Woman ?

Baby It’s You ?  The songs have a similar “pining” theme. Plus, I noticed you said John sings lead, but didn’t mention that he wrote it. BIY was written by Burt Bacharach.

Perhaps Hello Little Girl ? Lot’s of similarities as our hero seems to be invisible to both gals.

Baby It’s You (but your line of thinking is spot on!)

Hello Little Girl

Clues so far: it is related to Girl From Ipanema.

Richard’s wavelength is right, it’s lyrics that match/oppose Beatle lyrics

It was recorded before ’65, and John is lead vocalist

As TS pointed out, I specifically said vocalist because the song is a cover!

The premise of Ain’t She Sweet is similar to GFI  (guys watching a girl walking down the street).
