I hear what you’re saying about the Dodgers @sigh butterfly. I lived in Southern California for about 5 years in the mid-seventies and came to hate them. Vin Scully was the worst!
Okay, okay.
How about Good Morning Good Morning ? (Everything is closed it’s like ruin )

My dad was a pretty mellow guy and the only thing he ever admitted to despising was the Dodgers .
No x1 but that is a great guess Teddy!

That was really clever
Thanks Getback! I got the idea from a headline I saw in the Vegas paper that read “LOVE is cancelled until further notice“. Such sad words to read… Btw – dig your flag display.

I’m thinking that all images allude to Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (one of my favorite books of all time!)…..
The grand house can be a reference to Rochester’s estate or Lowood School, the girl in the top right corner looks a lot of Jane and the roses suggest Gothic-Romantic imagery, the classroom could allude to Jane being a teacher at Lowood or just the plain fact that she was taught there, and painting could allude to the heavy romantic elements incorporated in the writing and imagery of the novel by Bronte.
So with that in mind…I guess Getting Better
The teachers who taught me weren’t cool
You’re holding me down
Turning me round
Filling me up with your rules
For Lowood was a very infamously abusive and strict environment for Jane as a child (and was based on a very strict and abusive boarding school that the Bronte sisters went to themselves)
Also, Getting Better could refer to the fact that Jane Eyre is a Bildungsroman, and though things are very terrible for Jane in her childhood, she grows up to be an intelligent, independent, and morally-grounded woman (despite also the whole Rochester affair lol)
Thank you for reading my essay *bows*

Very interesting and well-worked reasoning, lovelyritametermaid, but it’s not the song I have in mind.

Wondering if the image represents one lyric, 4 lyrics, or the song title? How about Maxwell’s Silver Hammer ?
“Rose and Valerie” – cartoon image of Florence Nightingale who is associated with the rose diagram
“Back in school again” – image of teacher and students
“PC” (police constable) – image of painting by John Constable
Not sure what the white house image is (maybe a gallery)

Nice identification of three of the pictures, sigh butterfly.
No (x2):
Getting Better
Maxwell’s Silver Hammer
As mentioned by sigh butterfly, the second picture shows a cartoon image of Florence Nightingale, the third picture is of a teacher in a classroom, and the fourth picture is of a painting by John Constable.
Can anyone here identify the building in the first picture?
And in the end

Hey Rich, ok a little research reveals that the house belonged to Alvin and Gracie York (located in Pall Mall, TN). Sgt. York was a WWI American War hero. I haven’t quite figured out how the other images fit. Maybe this will help another guesser…

* a cartoon image of Florence Nightingale
* a teacher in a classroom
* a painting by John Constable
