This is so difficult… if it’s a post-1966 cover and it’s not Maggie Mae then it must be on Anthology… but what could it be?
Rip It Up, maybe?
Love one another.

Mr Moonlight
Magical Mystery Tour
The Night Before
Oh! Darling
Can You Take Me Back?
Get Back
Kansas City /Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!

Hints:
* Mr Moonlight is definitely the closest guess so far.
* Can You Take Me Back? is quite close in a different way.
* It’s a cover song that is sung by Paul.
* It’s a post-1966 recording.
* It’s not on any of the Anthology albums.

So when you say “post-1966” do you mean it was released after 1966 or recorded after 1966?
As stated in the hints, it’s a post-1966 recording: i.e. it was recorded after 1966 (and therefore released after 1966 too).
The five hints so far definitely provide enough information, but a little lateral thinking may be required.

The recently discovered and released Blue Moon.
One of the most famous uses of the song was the soundtrack of American Werewolf in London.
Mr Moonlight – Blue Moon.
Can You Take Me Back and Blue Moon both date to the I Will session, close in a different way.

Ta, very much! It was that or (You’re So Square) Baby I Don’t Care. Everything else had been excluded.
New picture:
Make of it what you will…
You may even play your own little game of Who’s Who? as I did… Think I got most of them… Not all though. Not all…

Sorry for delay, was out of data and couldn’t get a Top-Up ’til today.
@Getbackintheussr got it with Baby You’re A Rich Man , though for the wrong reason (though no doubting most in the picture are rich).
Assembled at the Ab-Lib, circa 1967, overlooking Swinging London from a height, The Beatles (along with a couple of wives), The Stones (along with a couple of girlfriends), various Who, Kinks, Animals, Cream – London’s rock aristocracy resplendent in their finery, the “In-Crowd”. I had in mind, “How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people?”
Not that that makes a difference.
I did very much like @Beatlebug’s suggestion of Eleanor Rigby , assuming she was thinking of the “All the lonely people…” section as there is something about the image where they do all seem almost insular to each other

@Ron Nasty, there is a list online supposedly naming everyone in the picture, except for the woman six places in from the left – the one who is wearing a pink, flowery hat. I think this might be Suki Potier, Brian Jones’s girlfriend at the time?

I’ve got two copies of the Guy Peellaert book it’s from, Rock Dreams, somewhere, @Richard! Just can’t be bothered to either out.
