Bird is a British slang term for girl, so Girl is my guess.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Some really interesting guesses, I have to say! But none of them was the song I had thought of.

Wrong (5x)

Blackbird

Penny Lane

Girl

And Your Bird Can Sing

I Call Your Name

Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Wrong (9x)

Blackbird

Penny Lane

Girl

And Your Bird Can Sing

I Call Your Name

Eleanor Rigby

Free As A Bird

Norwegian Wood

Maggie Mae

Pablo Ramon and Ahhh Girl were right in focussing on that it’s a magpie.

Solid clue: the song has a piano part

Many Beatles songs have piano parts. I think we need something a bit more solid.

That’s a fair point, thanks!

It’s also pre Rubber Soul.

Sorry Flyingbrains but Baby’s In Black doesn’t have a piano part, here’s the 2 clues Martha gave us:

1. It was released before Rubber Soul

2. It has a piano part

My guess is going to be You’re Going To Lose That Girl because bird is an old English slang term for girl.

Any Time At All because it talks about calling which some birds do.

According to Wikipedia those birds are the “only non-mammal species able to recognize itself in a mirror test[1] ” so i’d say: Tell Me What You See .

You’re so close Shamrock Womlbs. Just think about what Magpies are known for in everyday life.

Wrong (14x)

Blackbird

Penny Lane

Girl

And Your Bird Can Sing

I Call Your Name

Eleanor Rigby

Free As A Bird

Norwegian Wood

Maggie Mae

Baby’s In Black

You’re Going To Lose That Girl

Anna (Go To Him)

Any Time At All

Tell Me What You See

What is special about a Magpie?

Solid clue: the song has a piano part

It’s pre Rubber Soul
