Offline Doing some research on the animated picture, it looks like the elf is named Noddy and the monkey is named Martha. So I will guess Martha My Dear . This is some children’s show and series of books I know nothing about. Appears to be a British show.
Don’t see any connections to the other pics. If this is correct, I look forward to reading what P3pperish has to say.

Offline Noddy is a popular set of childrens stories written by author Enid Blyton who wrote a ton of highly successful and popular books that have remained so thru the generations. Never knew there was a monkey tho.

Well, everyone sees things differently, so here’s the explanation:
Only when the little bird takes a good look around (literally), it is bound to see the cat, and it’s reaction would be to fly away… 😀 That’s why I kept saying take a step backward to it flying away.
John’s letter is a love letter…and love letters usually use the word “Dear” to address the recipient, as do most of the informal letters.
The guy on the telephone is basically talking – having a conversation. I even used the word “conversing” while explaining the picture 😛
And as for the cartoon, yes, it is Noddy, and the monkey is called Martha Monkey. I thought it was quite a famous cartoon, and it is, in my part of the world. So is the Enid Blyton series.
