I vote for end the game I still think it is the best soluition but if not that, then we could take a break from the game.
Who knew you hated the game so much?
Well the votes are 2 and 2. But since many (myself included) have been chopping lyrics (yes I know I wrote the rules and I broke them), maybe we should start anew with @Oudis and all reread and adhere to the rules.
Yes?

Ya my problem with the game is that too many people break the rules. Hopefully there will be more lyric checks before posting

We’re going to have to agree to disagree, @meanmistermustard. You don’t like legitimate alternate spellings that change the first letter of a word, and think that’s a bad solution and think it defeats the purpose of the game. I don’t like when people use part of the line to get the right letter and think it defeats the purpose of the game. In fact, more than once during the game people have been criticised for the partial use of lines, and their turns have been voided. We’re both looking for solutions other than the AD40 solution. I’ve voted for the Oudis solution.
@Ron Nasty, well i have posted partial lines regularly and never had them veto’d so thats not always the case. I actually had a conversation with Mr Kite and it was passed, not that i’m going to look to find it – actually i did, here it is, just follow the discussion down.
The rules never state it has to be the first letter of the sentence just in the lyric. From post one:
The rules are simple, someone will post a lyric and the next person posts a lyric that starts with the last letter of the one above them.
If its not allowed then fine, tighten up the rules and start again.

Hello everybody.
I won’t deny I feel elated –I found that final “x” in John’s lyrics and it seems I’ve won the game –the second Beatlemaniac to do so. I just want to say that I’m waiting for all the Forum members to make up their minds, and any resolution you arrive to will be fine by me.
One thing though: I personally think the game is too much fun to just end it.
Oudis.

Okay Official Rule Change:
Using a full lyric would be nice, but then we won’t have much variation, so within reason one can split a lyric. It has to make sense.
Ex. The full lyric is “Dear Sir or Madam will you read my book?”
You Can Say: Will you read my book.
You Can’t Say: Madam will you read my book.
You must end all lyrics at the end of that lyric or one later one, just no ending at a random point.
If everyone is okay with that amendment we can continue with Oudis.

Thank you guys. I’ll start with an easy one –I shouldn’t have to explain the reason why I’ve chosen it.
“What about the night we cried
Because there wasn’t any reason left to keep it all inside?”
