1. You were in an earlier time zone on 1/1(Eastern) than the one you are in now (Central).
Of course, I am assuming you are back home in OK.

Number 3 is the lie, @thisbirdhasflown. I wish I could do that, but I can’t.
Mom’s house near Memphis is in the same time zone as my house in OK (CST). I was zonked out at midnight. I’m still at her house. I will be going home tomorrow.

Two months and nobody has posted anything here. Why have we stopped playing this game? It’s fun! Come on guys, guess the lie!

Some games just go in and out of playing. This game is no exception.

@Oudis had it right with #3 (although I’ve been working on how to play it since then). Sorry Oudis, but I’ve been away form the forum for about two months. Anyway, Oudis gets to go next!

Here you are (and Beatles-related!)
- 1 – I find the “Mother Mary” bit in “Let It Be ” irritating, although I like the song.
- 2 – I think that the first hits of The Beatles (let’s say the first five albums) are overrated musically speaking; I prefer everything from Rubber Soul onwards.
- 3 – Frankly I don’t know why people like “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey”

Well, unfortunately the first two guesses (@AppleScruffJunior & @HongKongLady) were wrong, so according to the rules I go again. The lie was #2. I find their first albums and singles a source of endless joy. I do find Mother Mary irritating (and yes, although philosophically speaking I’m an agnostic, I lean towards paganism -and remember you have to guess the lie) and find “Everybody’s Got Something …” noisy and just that.
Here we go again:
- 1 – One of the tracks I like the most in Please, Please Me isn’t a Beatle song: “A Taste Of Honey ”
- 2 – Although many find it whiny and corny, I like “The Long And Winding Road ”
- 3 – I love “Glass Onion ”

Paging the mods, I need a referee (@Ahhh Girl, @meanmistermustard, @Zig). The lie was number 3 so Annadog40 guessed it, but since the first two players didn’t, shouldn’t I go again? The rules have changed several times in this thread… Please mods dictate your sentence… Faithfully yours in this time of distress, Oudis.

Its your choice @Oudis.
The rules state that the person giving the lie has the right to go again if the first two people guessing are incorrect however in the event that the lair does not wish to post 2 more truths and another lie they can either hand control of the game over to the person who guessed third or leave it open so an unspecified player can take contol (i suppose they can also nominate an individual to take over if they wish as well tho that clause hasnt actually been agreed upon).

Thank you @meanmistermustard, I’ll play again and do so until somebody guesses…; by now the other Forumpudlians should know a lot about my taste in music so this should be easy for them.
- I love “Like Dreamers Do ” (BBC CDs)
- I love “The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill ” (White Album )
- I love “Honey Pie ” (White Album )

I thought that might be the case, @Oudis. On that wording though, the details were wrong and so… The recording of Like Dreamers Do you’re referring to, which is on Anthology 1 , comes from 1 January 1962 Decca audition. The only unreleased Lennon-McCartney song recorded for the BBC was I’ll Be on My Way.
Okay, I’ll guess at 2 on the corrected question.
